I've had my 3500 with the HEMI a couple weeks and it has now stalled twice as I was braking to a stop at a red light. Slight incline on both incidents. Has anyone else experienced this? This is one of those fantastic problems that I have a 0% chance of recreating or demonstrating for the dealer.

I have not had any issue with this. But I would absolutely get it into a dealership ASAP. I'd imagine a stall such as this would throw some kind of code, regardless if it triggers a check engine light or etc.

This is definitely an electrical issue, now other systems are going wonky.

Five times now it has randomly "stalled." Four of these incidents were when rolling to a stop at a red light, the engine shut off as soon as the vehicle stopped and the gear shifter just flashed the "D" indicator. The fifth incident was while parallel parking in reverse, the engine shut off and the "R" indicator just flashed. Now, I'm getting the below issues. Luckily I was able to capture these on video. I'm sending links to the videos because they were too big to email. Regarding the windshield wipers, I know this vehicle has auto sensing wipers. The wipers were in the OFF position, so the auto sensing isn't active. You can see this in the videos.

This video captures the windshield wipers randomly activating while in the OFF position, AC kicking itself on and off (seems to coincide with the wipers), and the "Service Electronic Stability Control" warning:

This video captures the windshield wipers randomly activating and AC randomly turning on and off. Also in this video the windshield wipers are doing some weird slow motion action:

Yeah, mine don't stutter like that, on the 2500, I have turned off the 'auto wipers in the rain' as it randomly turns on... it is going on the list of stuff for the dealer to address when I finally take it in..

My auto wipers are turned off. They still turn on, and in the 2nd video you can see they’re moving at weird speeds. The AC also turns on and off randomly without user input, headlights turn themselves on and off in the daylight, and the truck randomly shuts the engine off at red lights. Not to mention the stability control warning message.

Yeah... you got way more issues than I do... sorry man.

I took it into the dealer this week and got a diagnosis. They pulled a P258B code, inspected the grounds and found the G907 ground under the left fender corroded and blown at the vacuum pump. They inspected correlating grounds (G904 and G908) and said they were also corroded. Great news on a 2 month old truck that was built in the desert. Anyway, they cleaned them off, fixed the connections and resealed them. Problem solved!

2 hours later my engine stalled again at a stop sign. Now the high beams don't function and the Uconnect forgets my radio presets each time I start the truck. It's going back into the shop on Tuesday.

You got an electrical problems. Something is feeding juice into the ground. Grounds don't just corrode cause they were in the desert.

Also, I'd have them check to make sure the trucks ground to the battery is properly connected.

Thanks, I'll be taking it back to the dealer and having them take a look at it. Unfortunately, a box truck decided to remove my side mirror, so it's at the body shop getting fixed. Of course the mirror is back ordered! I should have it back at the end of this week, then it's going back to the dealer for the electrical issue.

In the meantime my rental is a 2019 1500. Man is that a smooth truck.

I just came across this thread, I'm glad I did because I've been wondering if I am the only one that's had issues. I have a new 2019 Power Wagon and it has stalled on me only once but 3 other times it has felt like it was about to stall then lurched forward. When it stalled it happened just as explained above, was at a light and went to roll forward it stalled and D started flashing. It let me start right back up and keep driving as if nothing happened. I have had it at the dealer and the only code that came up was an ABS code. It almost seems as if the trans is what caused the stall, just with how it felt. Also had an issue with my 12" touch screen not working and having several pages overlaid at the same time and freezing. Went away the next day.

Sounds like my issues too. I'm on my second HD and had the same problem on both. Chafing wires. My dealer took many tries to fix this and on the verge of a buyback, one of thier techs finally found a chafing wire being grounded out by a metal clamp holding the main harness to the firewall or fender I think. Keene (NH) Ram dealership are the ones that found the problem on my 2018 5500 Chassis Cab. (6.4L)

Last Friday the dealer replaced my power distribution center. So far so good. I haven't had any incidents with stalling, the stability control warning, or wiper/AC issues since. It is an intermittent issue, so I'm going to give it a couple more weeks until I declare it resolved.

Sorry to steal the thread. I have the 6.4 Hemi. Has anyone had an issue when backing up that the engine lugs a bit and wants to/stalls? Doesn't happen to me a lot but it's usually when I'm backing into my driveway or up a slight hill. Does it with or without a trailer attached.

One of my stalls was while parallel parking, in reverse, on a slight hill.

Hmmm. That is interesting. I have had it happen about 6-8 times now. I know when it should be happen so I can anticipate it. Booking it in at my dealer to have it looked at.

Will do. Thanks.

Well, good thing I didn't declare it resolved. More electrical wackiness documented in the below videos.

I dropped it off at the dealer today; this is now their 4th crack at it. I opened a buyback case with Ram, I'm supposed to get a call back from a case manager in 1-2 business days.

Anyone know how the buyback process works?

I had a couple of issues camera system not being available when backing up. Also with the ACC dropping out. Since I was on a trip, tried to find my self, it seemed that fuses in the power distribution box were not seated enough. Seated the fuses, seemed to have gone away for over two weeks now.
