5th Gen or 4.5 Gen?

Question for everyone, when I bought my 2019 Ram 2500 HD I was told it was a Gen 5 by the dealer. Why are the new HD trucks on this site referred to as Gen 4.5’s? Just curious.

Wish I knew what my 2020 HD.HO 3500 was, can't get aftermarket stuff to fit right unless I knew what "Gen" it is, I don't know how to find out.

I can't think of any reason anything that fits a 2019 wouldn't fit a 2020.

I can't think of anything except Trailer TPMS and Aux Trailer cam that is different between 2019 and 2020 HD trucks.

You have the option to get the 50 gallon gas tank now it said.

True, I have the 50. But that doesn't really affect aftermarket bolt on parts.

As has been said, always best to contact the MFR or someone that has installed the part.
