Does anyone know where I can get a gateway that isn’t mounted on top of the steering column so I can change TPMS parameters on my 2022. That KAo whatever company has been sold out for a while.

Where are you located? I’d let you borrow mine while you wait for them to get back in stock…. Not that big of a deal to pull it out…

Bro I’m in Aurora. The springs is a bit away, and I don’t go down south much. If it’s worth you driving this way you’re welcome to bring your truck up and change your stuff real quick if it’s bothering you enough.

I appreciate the offer man, yeah i don’t get up there very often, I’m actually in Canon city which is 40 miles south of the springs but go to the springs pretty regularly. I’ll keep your offer in mind.

For sure. I bought my Kao cable when they were in stock. Not sure what happened. Though I know it’s a popular one for Alpha for sure.

Next time I’m supposed to head south is August 11th-13th. Headed to Lathrop state park for camping and paddle boarding. So there’s that too… but that is two months from now…

How are they not 5th gens? Because the cab is still 4th gen? Everything else was redesigned and improved upon.

Because they are still 4th Gen according to Ram. They carry the D2/DJ designation that is for 4th Gen trucks.

There were changes and improvements in 2019, but still largely the same truck.

I think I've found these bypass cables on eBay, too. I mean, they're just a passthrough-OBD cable with two leads going into the CANBUS blocks. No electronics in them or anything.

I just ordered one like 2 weeks ago - where did you see they are sold out?? What do you mean by on top of the steering column??

On the 1500's, the SGW is down below the steering column so most use a plug in module or short Y-cable that plugs directly into the SGW ports.

On the HD's, the SGW is behind the center dash cluster so we use the OBD/CANBUS adapter bypass instead of pulling the dash cluster (EVIC).

Some folks came over from 1500's and some just got the wrong type of bypass...

@Jimmy07 is getting me taken care of.

when I said up high on the steering column , some of the ones I saw for sale the reviews talked about them mounting up high near the cluster so that they are hard to get to or some ****.

They were out of stock for more than a week that I checked, I just got an email from KAO a couple days after I hooked up with @Jimmy07 that they were back in stock.
