Good morning, hope everyone is doing well. I just have a couple questions regrading a 5500 60" C/A i have on order. I have an existing custom welding bed 8ft x 10ft that ill be putting on it that was actually built for a 2012 GMC denali dually. So as far as i know about my only issue there is i may see a touch bigger gap from cab to deck as i believe pickups are 58" C/A so i should have about 5" gap which is fine with me. However one thing i didnt consider is frame width on a 5500.... would any of you fine folks happen to know the frame width on these 5500s? i am thinking potentially the frame rails on my existing deck may be too narrow i think 34" outside dimension. I DO have perpindicular sections of heavy wall tubing in 3 locations along the frame rails that were meant to meet up with the existing pickup bed mounting locations if memory serves correctly those sections were 38" long. I did find a PDF on 2013 ram 45/5500s that say frame with is 34" not sure if that still rings true for a 22

another question i had was, with these 5500s, being i ordered a laramie lvl 1 pkg, i also got park sense front and rear. I imagine these sensors would come in a box and plug into a harness on the truck once i install? would the same be true for the backup camera?

wow thankyou, that is EXTREMELY informative. Iam going to have to get a tape on that welding bed frame rail location again. Iam second guessing myself now and thinking the 5500 frame rails are narrower

Hah! Yep not even close 40” OD on welding bed rails. And cab and chassis is 34” so 3” past on each side Had no idea pickups and cab and chassis were so different. Have to think up some heavy duty mounting brackets or add another rail i suppose
