They should have known there was an issue as soon as they tried to balance them and they wouldn't balance. Even with balance beads, there will be issues as it's a tire issue. Easiest way to find out, pull the tire off the rim and balance the rim. It should be zero and need no weights.

I’ll try to contact Cooper directly. For the guy that mentioned load balance, I took my truck to Les Schwab to do a load balance and the lifted my truck up and spun the rear wheels and said there is a very noticeable out of round issue with the inside tires, nothing can be done to fix that as far as balancing. Like I think I mentioned, Custom offsets tried to balance them and couldn’t, they called me and said they use balance beads in that case. I just find it very interesting that it’s both the inner wheels on my dually, I’m pretty sure they knew there was a problem and mounted the 2 that were out of round on the inside rims.

So thanks to the guy that mentioned to contact Cooper tire. They replied this morning and told me to take it to my local Discount tire shop and they look at the tires, even though I didn’t buy them from them. They did a road force balance on them and came back and said 3 of the tires are bad. So now I just have to wait and see what becomes of it, the manager at Discount tire said he’s going to get all 3 replaced for free, just gotta see what Cooper tire has to say. I also got a phone call from custom offsets and the manager says there was some miscommunication and I would not have to pay the $300+ for shipping but would still need to buy new tires and when the bad ones got to Cooper tire and if they said they were bad I’d get reimbursed.

No you can't been there done that. You keep adding weights and each time you check it, it shows it needs weights in a new spot. I guess if you eventually have weights of different sizes all around the rim, it might balance. But you shouldn't need more than 3 ozper tire. Only issue I've ever seen was balancing 37" super swampers on a 16" rim. But they are known for having balancing issues. So we use balance beads in them.

I have on many occasions zeroed out an out of round wheel it is very possible it still was not drivable without a vibration but according to the machine it was balanced that was with and without a road force balancer

Oh I’m going to for sure go with discount tire. They’ve always treated me good. I should of just went with them in the 1st place.

So I ended up getting 2 new tires. Discount did the warranty but would only do the front wheels cause they are 20x9” wheels. Said since my rear dually wheels are only 8.25” they could not warranty them cause minimum size wheels for those tires is 8.5”. They said the one tire that was out of spec was just barely out, so I guess I lucked out that the 2 really bad ones were on the front wheels.
I guess I feel lucky cause if I wouldn’t have went with aftermarket wheels and put those tires on stock 6” wheels like some guys do I wouldn’t of got any warranty. Going to see what custom offsets will do about the tps sensors that they knew wouldn’t work but still sold and installed them.

I got my out of round tire replaced on Wednesday and it helped but I'm still fighting random vibrations. Time to dive down that rabbit hole of trying to find what it is now. :-(

I bought 5 Cooper Discoverer AT3’s from my local shop and installed them on my ‘17 1500 Express last year. (I got rid of the donut spare and put a full size as I tow frequently.) They couldn’t get them to balance after many attempts. It completely ruined my trucks ride. I was so stressed about it, I was talking to my salesman when I ended up at the dealer in another attempt to get them balanced on a different machine. With the crazy trade-in values I got more for that truck than I paid for it new 4 years earlier and ended up with my new 3500.

So Cooper was a blessing in disguise…

I have to take back all the negativity I said about Custom offsets. After dealing with another person there my opinion has changed. They are doing a lot to resolve the issue I was having. Discount tire is also very good other than they can’t warranty 1 tire cause it’s mounted on a 8.25” wheel, if it was 8.5” then there would be no issue.

So anyone considering buying from Custom Offsets, just think about how bad the take care of people who just bought $5800 worth of wheels/tires. They give no support, say it’s the brands issue, not theirs.

I agree 100%. Luckily custom offsets is going to see what they can do to get that 3rd tire taken care of for me. That and they’re going to try and figure out why my tps is not working and do whatever they can to get it working. So far they’ve done everything they said they were going to do to make my buying from them experience great.

Probably because they would have to mount the replacement (on a wheel that does not meet the requirements) and that would put them in a liable position would be my guess.

Good to hear they are taking care of you, I got my wheel tire setup through them as well. I’ve only got a chance to put maybe 100mi on them since winter hit but it’s good to know if there’s a issue if you find the right guy they will take care of ya.
