4.10 Gearing Daily mpg not towing?

14.2-13.9 average for 4K miles on 2 lane hwy can average 17-18
 
A claimed 17-18mpg average in a Hemi with 4.10 gears... I'm not saying you're lying but well I just figured you were confused.
 
Note 2 lane Hwy 55 speed limit that's what I get under those circumstances I have a 1 hour drive to VA on that road and achieve this constantly. Only one stop sign for 70 miles
 
13.2 is my trucks lifetime average, just over 6000 miles. Power Wagon (6.4 w/ 4.10s) riding on 35’s, I feed her mid grade. I live in Denver, so it is pretty high elevation and not flat. My commute is a mix of city and highway, but pre-rona a lot of the highway part was stop and go traffic.

Stop and go traffic/stop lights really make the MPGs suffer.

To be honest, I feel 13mpg isn’t terrible for a 7000lb truck with a big V8, sitting on 12.5” wide all terrain tires that weigh about 100lbs each.

My 2019 2500 Limited CC 4wd 6.4 w/4:10 gears gets average 10 mpg running around town, 15-18 on thruway. Not great but I didn't purchase for mileage.
 
This is seriously fantastic. The mileage in my 2007 F-150 5.4-4spd Auto SC 4x4 w/ 3.73 gearing didn't get any better and may have actually gotten worse mileage.
 
At 2200 miles, I’m averaging 11.5 to 12.2 depending on whether or not I’m running 89 or 93 octane, strictly in town.
 
I just test drove a 2020 Power Wagon. Went 50 miles down the highway and came back the same route. 80mph both ways with a few miles of city driving getting to/from the dealer. 11mpg by the meter, probably more like 10mpg.
 
Around town this winter, I'm averaging ~9.5mpg hand calculated. The heavy 35 Nittos don't help with gas mileage, especially with short trips and a lot of start/stops.
 
With very heavy 35s (78lbs/ea) and the tire size corrected I'm averaging 12.8 mixed, and around 15-16 interstate. I have removed the front air dam, and replaced the muffler with the Magnaflow direct fit, although I doubt pq either of those things affected my mileage.
 
I was surprised by the low 10mpg mpg on my test drive of that Power Wagon. I owned a 2014 Laramie 6.4L 4.10 CC 6 1/2' bed. It was basically the same truck except for the tires (about the same diameter, though) and the Power Wagon's 2 inch lift and I would get 15mpg, hand calculated, consistently on that same run.
 
Was getting just over 13 stock. With the 37s, that's now dropped to 12.1.

I'm what I like to refer to as a spirited driver.

It has been a bit of a surprise though, as my 2016 with a bigger lift, also 37s, but with the 3.73 gears was just under 16.

Granted, all of my time with the 2020 has been with the stupid winter gas, so I'm hoping for a slight uptick once we hit spring.
 
I drive 110 miles to work and back 4 days a week. Everything on my truck is stock. I drive a mix of rural (45-55 MPH) and interstate (70-75 MPH). I average 14.9 on the lie-o-meter. With the stock tank I am refueling (at 1/4) every 3.5 days.
While I wish I had a bigger tank, I have zero regrets on the 4.10's and the 6.4L. I like the sound of the engine, and when I press the gas it just goes (the mpg vanishes then)
I have a 900 mile return trip coming up and I am interested to see if there would be a change all interstate. We will see. I did not but the truck for fuel economy, for that I would have bought a midsize sedan (not my style though)
 
I only get a little over 10 mpg around town. I guess I have a heavy foot. I haven't even loaded down my truck yet with all the junk I like to carry.

I'm getting 11 in town on winter blend gas right now
 
Just finished up my first full tank after the lift and 37s. I'm guessing about 400 of those miles were back and forth trips to the hardware and tile stores, but the EVIC reported 13.7mpg. Unfortunately, smiles per gallon aren't calculable, but SPG is much more important to me than MPG.
 
I get 10 towing a 37 foot travel trailer...14 around town and 20 empty on the hwy.
