3RD Brake Light Camera?

Just brought home a 2020 2500. Has the 12 inch Unconnect. It only has the tailgate back up camera and not the surround view. I was at least wanting the 3rd brake light camera. Can you simply buy the factory brake light with the camera? Should there be a wire already there to plug n play? I would assume and ECU flash or dealer intervention needed at that point. Any suggestions appreciated.

Yes, you can buy the CHMSL with camera and install it, and enable it. The wiring for the camera will not be there, and will have to be custom built. When searching for the part number for the CHMSL with camera, do NOT use the one for a truck with surround view, because it uses a different type of camera. It must be the camera for a truck that has only the backup camera and cargo camera.
