I drove my 2020 2500 from Chicago burbs to Keystone CO a week ago for spring break with the family. Once in Keystone we didn’t travel very far and used the truck to get from our condo to the mountain each day, maybe 1-2miles depending on which lot we parked in.
Yesterday morning I ran into Silverthorne to wash the truck and clean the mess a week of skiing and winter roads had left inside and out on the truck. On the way the cluster flashed exhaust regen in process continue to drive during regen or something along those lines. I’ve never seen this message before ever. Within 60 seconds of that message it told me DPF full reduced power, see dealer.
I stopped by the dealer and they informed me they could not force a regen as the filter was too plugged up and it would need to be replaced.
This dealer went above and beyond. They made a 3 hour round trip to get a filter from the dealer in Boulder, and then installed it and got me on my way. They provided a loaner for me and my family to cruise around in while we waited. Groove Jeep Ram Subaru in Silverthorne CO was incredible. Huge thanks to them!
I will say this is my first 6.7 I have not deleted. I am super disappointed this happened and now may have trust issues with this truck. It’s daily driven on the highway and a drive it pretty hard. I am shocked the DPF was plugged and bad.
Anyone else have similar experience? I refuse to delete this time as I want my warranty…but this kind of nonsense sucks
