Hello all. Checking to see if anyone has or is building a chassis cab configuration. I plan, this year hopefully, to get out of my 2500 and into a 3500, but I want the chassis cab. I always looked into getting a tray for my previous two 2500's but never did it. I want one for the new HD I get, but figured why spend the extra for a bed that I'm just not gonna need or have to get rid of. I saw on the Ram site the chassis cab is configurable to pretty much most of the desirable trim lines. I'm looking into a Laramie and the chassis cab is quite a bit less than getting one with the options I want than a complete truck with a bed. I understand that depending on the tray I choose will offset that cost. I've been researching tray options out there, mainly the Norweld, and I'm sure there are lesser pricey options I have yet to see. I want the goose/neck 5th wheel prep, but don't see that as an option. I'm assuming since what ever tray or flat bed that will be purchased for it, that will need to be added. Has anyone done this or looking into doing this? What are the pros and cons of such a thing? BTW, the red seat belt option on these look pretty cool too! Haha. Thanks!
