3500 DRW Tire Rotation Pattern

I read the owner manual and see that I have to keep the inside rear wheels on the inside location and can only rotate them side to side because of the TPMS sensors... BUT...my question is, can I rotate the OUTSIDE rear tires to the front axel and then the front criss-cross to the OUTSIDE rear?

My newbie apologies in advance if I'm beating a dead horse to death on this subject...I searched the forum and didn't get a answer/hit on this subject.

you would have to flip the wheels around and the inside face of the outer wheels on the rear are not polished. Similar up front, only the outside is finished.

Yep...I have the Night edition with the Black Wheels...and I found that the mounting faces of the rear wheels where not painted (which, in hind site, makes sense) and the center caps would not cover the non painted surface if I mounted them n the front...besides I figured there was good reason why they didn't paint the mating surfaces of the rear wheels!
I am a member of several other forums (ADV Rider, Buell, Forrest River and HD) and I know I should post pics of my findings but was moving fast to get it wrapped up so I didn't even think about the pics till I was done...will remember next time to include the visual aids! ;-)

Also, you cannot mix drives and steers because the pressure is so much different. TPMS would not give up on that, unless you spend the $$ to buy a TPMS programmer, which I have to do exactly what you are suggesting. In Spring, when it gets wwwwwarmer.

When I went through this with my ford, the inner steels actually had “inner rim only” stamped on them. Most likely because they are not polished.

Later a tire guy told me that the only way to truly rotate dually tires was to unmount them and remount in new location. $150 bill from the tire place.

They have tpis not tpms also it will read the tire in its new location you dont need a programer for that

I have been running my dually for almost 10 years on Michelin Ltd a/t2s and I honestly never touch the back tires. I let them ride and will get around 60k miles as a daily driver with towing a dump trailer maybe 10% of the time and otherwise just hauling **** in the bed for work.

Front tires lol get about 20k and get trashed. 6.0 just eats those things up on a RWD truck

I just encountered this right now - I work out of town during the week and figure I would take it to a local shop here. They quoted $35 for a dually tire rotation. Before they even pulled my truck in the bay - the guy told me it would be $580 because they would have to unmount/mount the tires due to the inner dually wheel not being a finished wheel.

I said no thanks. Haven't encountered this issue before and this would have been my 4th rotation.
