Hello,
I have a 24 3500. Does anyone know how to stop the 3 horn honk when exiting the truck when it's idling and fob is in my pocket? Thanks

Our 24 3500 honks 30 times each day in a quiet remote rural region while leaving and returning to home. There's aftermarket software online available for a price.

We have dogs in the truck so I close the driver's door when getting out. 3 honks when closing the pole barn door after driving the truck out, 3 for opening the first 16 feet wide by 8 feet high gate near our home, 3 for closing the first gate, 3 for opening the 2nd 16 feet wide by 6 feet high gate near the highway, 3 for closing the 2nd gate, and repeat again coming home. 30 honks scares the elk, deer, and bears.

Yes annoying fer sure. On my Grand Cherokee I have learned to just close the door till the latch grabs. No honk/ free fix. I’m not a Chevy or Ferd guy so a don’t slam them anyway.

The 3 honks was intentionally designed to get our Huskies howling. That's much louder than the horn and more annoying inside the truck. Can't shut them up with aftermarket software.

You can use AlphaOBD to turn it off.
