Being here in South Texas, the summer heat is quite brutal on interior vehicle heat. My Dash Cams with the sticky attachment to the windshield gets soft or melts allowing the camera to fall off. Would like something more reliable to hold up to the heat. Suction Cups are just as bad. Not sure if the Rear View Mirror is powered or not. Would like a VanTrue Cam as I have experience with them but, I'm willing to try something else. Any input of your experience or recommendations would be appreciated. Thanks.

For sticky stuff you cannot beat the 3m stuff. VHB to be exact. Lowes, Walmart, etc carries it.
Just make sure the glass is super clean and it will hold up in Texas hell level hot in August.
I have a few 100 customers that use this stuff and they do not complain (as long as they prep the glass).

As for Cams, you can go cheap or expensive, depends on your "wants"

I get free cams from work, so I tend to be a bit on the "features side" of things.

I really like the cellular based ones. You can get them for about $30 a month camera included with the cell.
One feature on one of ours is after hours movement. If the truck moves past the time you state, it will shoot you an email letting you
know someone just stole yer ****.

Yup..... I do OK with work from home and saving, then I get a bright idea to look at stuff on Amazon.
Cost me $280 today.
I bumper pull but about twice a year, so I finally broke down and got an inexpensive drop hitch... LOL
