Belt tensioner - probably from the single alternator version.

The only parts that are different on the dual alternator setup are the belt and 2nd alternator. The rest of the accessories, tensioner, etc are the same.Thanks.
There are two general approaches to dual alternator setups:
1) Buy from the factor with dual 12 volt alternators.
- This uses the engine controller to run both of them.
- It is a great option, but typically you can't replace one of them with an aftermarket 24 volt or 48 volt alternator.
2) Buy a single 12 volt alternator from the factory
- Find the required brackets and an after market alternator that fits
- Depending on the vehicle, this can require some fairly specialized tools and very high torque levels

The reason I started this thread was to help find the tools and brackets needed to install ( 2 )
My assumption is that the after market 24 volt alternator would use similar brackets, belts, etc to ( 1 )
I have been collecting possible p/ns but am not sure about them. Will post them this week.

The diagrams I have found do not refer to the 220 vs 240 volt alternators, just a part number call out.
I am a big believer in running electronics at 50 - 70% when at all possible for a long life, not matter the brand.

Its a very easy mod to add or remove. The dealer or AlfaOBD/JScan (depending on year) can enable or disable the feature.
I am pretty sure the bracket is 05281795AA
Here is a drop in 24V alternator for the 2nd alt bracket.

Depending on what batteries/BMS is being used this may be a better option with a WS500 regulator.

Yes, one of the reasons I went with the A7000 24V alternator from Arco over the A4000 or Nations 140A.... The A7000 is rated for 282A and I will draw 150A max.
Thanks for the inputs and information.
Do you think this will work with the 25 + cummins 6.7 ?
You are right that the WS controllers have some excellent programmable features. Getting good support from american power for a 48 volt setup was not so - positive of an experience.
