First let me say that I got permission from Brutal to post this.

Tuner depot seems to have mixed reviews. They say they have a kit that does not require an ECM swap for the 22+ trucks. Instead it has a single tune and uses a bypass cable. I am currently searching and deciding on a weight loss program. Since I don’t want or need any power gains or shift on the fly options this is what I would love to do.

Anybody have thoughts on Tuner depot and if they can be trusted. I don’t really want to be a guinea pig on this but it’s less than half the price of the other options right now. Link below

Interested also, will be following this thread.

That looks like it might be the answer for those of us just wanting to go on a simple diet.

Tuner depot is well known for garbage and is not trusted.

There is conflicting info in the ad. Most of the compatibility verbiage does not include 2022+

I have seen enough people get burned by them
Can you elaborate at all. I was hoping to hear from anyone that has been burned by them or has had good experiences with them. The fact that I haven’t heard much on the forums about them had me assuming it wasn’t worth the risk

I have yet to hear any success stories. But have seen a bunch of reports of issues on 22s and even the older trucks as the tunes suck. But I have a friend who thought it was a good deal, he ended up having his ECM lock up as the tune could not load. Cost him quite a bit to have the dealer fix the issue I believe the dealer recovered the ECM.

Spend the money go with a good reputable tuner

Update on this, after some more research I did find some more posts that scared me away from tuner depot. And secondly I found some information that even if you got a stock tune from a reputable tuner it is only an 80% hit rate that tuning without the ECM swap will work. So I will not be going this route.
