Just got my truck, and the smell of this interior is strong, and honestly not pleasant. You cant get a better smell than a new car, but this one is awful. I had a 19 and the smell was amazing. Both trucks were limiteds. Anyone else notice this? Is it the leather? I love a new car smell so much too, so this is kind of a bummer. It honestly is making me sick, until I get some fresh air then I feel better.

Love the smell of the Leather in mine.
Possible the longhorn smells different i wonder? I am trying to figure out if this is a one off or if all the 22's smell like this, or if its the leather or what. Maybe I will go sniff the leather directly. You would think the leather would be the strongest smelling thing in the truck though. Never smelt a vehicle like this before lol. Like I said, my 19 smelled great, but I have heard they changed the leather?

Not sure if the leather has changed. Can you describe the smell? Maybe the dealer used some type of detailer or cleaner?

My 22' Laramie has the typical new car smell. Not overpowering by any means but strong enough that the kids comment on it every time they get in. Have only had family ride in mine but no-one has complained about the smell.

My Limited smells great and I will be sad to lose the smell over time. Many compliments on the interior from those I show it off to, them saying, "Love that Smell!"

Maybe one of the workers left something unsavory in your vehicle. Saw something once where a guy found used toilet paper in a door panel

starting to smell better I think, I wonder if it had to burn some crap off, or if it was their cleaner. Those heated seats and steering wheel get so hot could be burning some glue and oil off?. Who knows. But I just came back from a drive and I thought it was smelling more like a new car smell. We will see!

I just thought of something.
The first time my truck ran a regen it smelled horrible. I was sitting in a parking lot idling waiting for my daughter to get done with gymnastics when it ran.
I knew what was going on so I just let it do it's thing but the smell was nasty. Wondering now if that's what you might be smelling?

It was a smell like anything within reach of the DPF being cooked/burnt. Wasn't pleasant, but was gone a short while after the regen ran. Just had another the other day and it just smelled hot, so it apprently had plenty to burn off the first time.

No sir! Definitely not! This isn’t my first 5th gen diesel! :) I won’t even smell the regen in the cab normally either, maybe if stopped and windows down. But that burning smell I am pretty familiar with, this isn’t even close to that!
