2026 RAM HD Builds and Orders

Hard to say, could be all new design next week, or the same ole. Lots of announcements flowing for Chevy type sticker packages and such, hopefully we will hear something interesting about 2026 2500s soon

I placed an order for a 2026 Ram 2500 today. Has anyone seen a production schedule? When do 25’s end and 26’s start?

I believe I've seen complaints the 1500 keycards don't work, or didn't get issued...

FWIW, my Wife's 24 Kia keycard and phone/wallet keys work great (if you have a supported phone). walk up unlock, hatch, starting, etc. never a glitch. Same with the infotainment. Ram needs to step it up. Fire those Indian devs and hire some roof Koreans. IYKYK. :-)

Yesterday, she got home from the store and saw her keys on the counter and asked me how she was able to start her car and drive to the store and back without her keys. LOL.
Ha, take notes from Koreans and maybe Tesla!

I have VIN on my 26 Ram 2500 order. Now for a D1 scheduled production date. Let the waiting begin. Probably see snow before I see my order.

When did you put your order in? How long does it take for the order number to come to through?

Welp, just got a call from my dealer. Got bumped to a 2026. He even texted me the order sheet ...

Order date was changed to July 1, 2025, new VIN assigened, VON is still the same old one.

Talking to the dealer, I am still in status D, no idea what is going on there or when it will get built

Original order was February 1, 2025

Price is still the same as his last update ... Original order went up by $700 when the tariffs first came in, but no other changes since then and I am promised by my dealer that it is price locked.

2025 Rebel 2500, white, confirmed the codes are all exactly the same between the order sheets

DJ7X91 - Rebel, not power wagon
2UR
ESL - 6.4 gas engine
DFX
PW7 - white
APD - two tone, white on top, black on bottom
*H9 - cloth heated bench seats
-X9 - black seats
LHL - aux switches
MM4 - rock rails
NAS
XBJ - dual 400a alternators
Z7H - under 10,000 lbs so I dont have to resafety it every year
3AC
CLF - all weather mats
5N6
4EA
573
99587A
7S5
4CP
YG2 - additional 19.6L of fuel

... Dear @RamCares ... this experience is TERRIBLE ! I am not even trying to order something to fancy

I put my order in on June 30. Dealer emailed me my VON (vehicle order number). I then went to the Ram order status tracker and entered my VON today and had a VIN assigned (D status). Now waiting for a scheduled build date (D1 status).

One good thing is you will now get a 10/100 powertrain warranty with the 2026.

That’s interesting. The dealer has been saying mine is status “C” since ordered in April and it was assigned a VIN then. And a new VIN, now that it has changed to “2026”.

Scheduled:
C – Tentative schedule. Your order is "subfirm". The plant can see the order at this point but it's not fully committed to building as the supplier may or may not be able to get parts to the plant to build the vehicle.
D – Firm schedule: serial number assigned. Firm order. (This is when you get your VIN assigned)
D1 – Gate line: unit sequenced for production (Get an estimated build date)

This is how I think it works.

That "Black Express" package on the Tradesman looks sweet. I think I can order a Tradesman CC 4x4, Black Express, 4.10 axle, spray in, and gooseneck prep and keep it just under $60k. That's not bad.

My order as of the 3rd went into production, it says estimated delivery October, I doubt I get it that late.

What does that screen do?
Nothing useful. You can hookup hdmi to it and watch a movie, you can see the trucks external cameras and control music. My wife’s grand Cherokee had it, totally useless.

I keep waiting for a video or something to highlight a good use for those screens. I looked at a Ram 1500 a few months ago that had one and couldn't help but say "why spend the money for that?" If anything, give me some nice factory screens for the kids in the back seats.

I prefer the extra space that the lower trims take advantage of personally.
