Hello all! I traded my 23 2500 for a 2026 3500 SRW Longhorn. Swapping over all my stuff and I went to do my bypass cable and....the CANBUS blocks are gone from under the dash on the driver's side . I'm sure someone has to know where they are...so...any thoughts? There's also an orange pull loop under the panel like there is on 1500s.

Also, I think based on the RF hub and other security gateway updates, a security bypass and Tazer MAY be possible now. Going to try eventually but I want to get AlfaOBD up and running before I do.

Any help is appreciated!

The 2025+ use a different Canbus architecture and security gateway, so there’s no canbus junction blocks, and it’s not possible to physically bypass the security gateway.
Using alfaobd on the 2025+ is also very different than previous. Here’s a write-up I did on how to use alfaobd on the 2025+ 1500’s, but it’s the same process for the HD Rams.

Is there any hope that someone figures out how to make this easier?
No, it will always be the same steps required- unlock the gateway with a device, make the changes with alfaobd while the gateway is unlocked, perform proxi alignment afterwards.
The only thing that is easier is you can use your own equipment and subscriptions to perform the proxi alignment instead of having the dealer do it.

The only problem that I forsee is the dealer. In my experience, the service reps don't know much about the vehicles and especially something technical like a proxy aliignment. I would imagine there is a good chance they would either refuse or screw up your programming. Have many people successfully done this yet.
I am hopeful. I just ordered a new truck and would like to add the passive entry door handles again along with a few other small programming changes.

Will the coding method improve?

Like will AlfaOBD eventually get the platform (BCM MY) and settings/sales codes in the app instead of having to have you modify the backup file directly?
