I just noticed a big Factory recall on 2025 (and maybe 2026) Rams as it relates to Trailer turn signal will not flash and the Trailer brakes will not function.
Manufacturer recall: 03D
NHTSA Recall number: 26V-059
I have towed my RV several thousand miles and have NOT noticed any Trailer lights or Trailer brake issues. Has anyone experienced issues with this? Does anyone know what the fix is?

Same here, towed all over with 0 issues.

They have to replace the trailer tow module. I got mine replaced today. There are very few of the modules available. The bad thing is the module can fail at any time.

My 2025 has 17K miles and I have been towing 3/4 +/- of those miles with 0 trailer issues. Wonder if they will change mine if not needed.

edkbates,
Do you mind looking at your repair receipt from the dealer and post the part number here for the "Trailer tow module"?
This way I can picture what this part actually consists of... Thanks

I just purchased a leftover 2025 last Friday with it listed under the recall. Can't take delivery until they get the module in. Should've researched the recall before making the purchase. Waiting game now..

I hate to hear that...I know you are ready to take delivery NOW. Hopefully the part will arrive quickly....Keep us updated here as to how this turns out...

My dealer told me they could only order 1 a week right now...that seemed strange. They had 45 on the lot they had to fix before selling them.

How long did it take them to fix? Did they have to tear apart the rear seat to do it?

Hmmm, I just had my truck "think" there was a trailer connected today. I wonder if that would be the culprit? I checked all my fuses previously with several not being fully seated. Shut the truck off and then back on and it was back to normal.

I carried my truck in for the floating DEF gauge issue last week. I told the Service Advisor to fix the Trailer turn signal/Trailer brakes recall issue while they had it in the shop. He told me the same thing--they are only allowed to order a few parts at a time---therefore he said they cannot fix it at this time.

I have a 2026 with the recall issue. I have worked with Ram and have gone to the dealer and ordered the part. Ram sent me an email that said basically you have not completed your recall parts available. I called my local dealer, and they said they do not have the parts. I notice that other threads say they are using them for trucks on the lots so they can be sold. I someone is hurt due to lack of parts i imagine the first question will be how many parts went to make trucks sellable vs. to existing customers who are driving their recalled vehicle.

Module replacement Part #CSZT03D1AA

Module replacement
My understanding is that it may become an issue and then intermittent at that. I face the same issue with my 2025 Limited 2500. My dealer tells me that they are lucky if they get one module per week. In my opinion Stellantis new about this last year and NTSB issued a notice Feb. 2nd of this year. Stellantis should at that time have issued build contracts for these bad module replacements. I purchased my 2025 Limited 2500 and a new RV 5th wheel to have ready for my 2026 march 1st retirement. What I ended up with is plans on hold..., i did not wait for my recall letter and immediately went to my Ram dealer to have my name placed on the replacement list. That was a few days after the NTSB notice. I am as of March 3rd, sixth on the list....that's six weeks if I'm lucky! Huge expense to not utilize as planned! THANKS STELLANTIS!!!

My 2025 ram 2500 Laramie I bought in December has been at the dealership service since March 20th for the 3 recalls.
They said it was ready 3 days after I dropped it off but still had the same issue so I left it with them and is waiting for the parts for the Automatic Emergency Braking.
I have not received any calls from the dealership about my truck as of yet.

I need my truck for work and pulling my boat. They did give me a loaner but it is a 1500 bighorn 3.6L which can not tow what I need.
