2025 RAM HD Builds and Orders - Post and discuss your TRUCK order here! ** NEW USERS READ POST #1 **

Why is their build website (even for 2024, I realize 2025 models aren't up yet) so clunky, as compared to how it was about 10 Year ago? Granted, I haven't used the site in a Decade, but it seemed so much more intuitive, and user-friendly then. First of all, we had paper brochures, which in my opinion, were easier to flip through, and read, than the online ones. I could hold it in my hand while I build on the computer.
Secondly, it was very easy to see what features could or couldn't be added, with each option (on the old website). I remember the build process I did at home, was so nice and smooth. Now the site doesn't exactly explain what option can or can't be added, with what other option. I have to keep adding and subtracting things to see how many I can combine together. I like to mix and match, add this, add that, and see what the best combo is (sort of like making a pizza online, LOL), but I like to Know ahead of Time, what the rules are. What can or can't I have with what else. In other words, if I can't put bacon with pineapples, Say, then I should Know that in advance so I don't have to click on 83 different things to find that out.

Maybe it's just me, but it looks like the newest version of the website, was designed by an 11th grader, during the dial-up era, circa 1994. Are most of y'all totally comfortable with using the new site for builds? Maybe I'm just not tech savvy enough. Get off My Lawn, LOL! :p;)o_O

Rant over, LOL.
I'm an IT guy and very frustrated with their configurator. If I produced a product as bug ridden as this I would be looking for new employment. As to it was better back in the day I somewhat disagree. I remember ordering my 2004 it was just as buggy. LMAO!

I hear you buddy. I only used it once before, in 2014, and I didn't find any errors then, but that's only a sample size of 1 experience. I tried using it now, and I can't figure out for sure, what "group" contains what, and what I can or can't, mix and match with other things.

As mentioned, if this was a pizza website, at least Tell me up front, what toppings I can or can't, mix/match with others, so at least I Know the rules upfront. The old paper brochure I had in 2014, did an excellent job explaining all those restrictions/rules to me, so I could easily enter what was needed into the computer. Now, I have to look at the brochure on 1 Window, while I try to mix and match combinations on another Window. Again, I saw better websites in the 1990's LOL. As an IT guy, you would Know better than anyone!

You shouldn't be able to configure a truck on the build site that you can't actually order, and conversely you shouldn't be able to order a truck that you can't configure on the build site. They really should be pulling from the same DB.

My point exactly.

Their CPQ program just sucks. It has been like this way for years. I believe it’s OK to pull from separate DB’s as the configurator is forward facing. Would never want to expose the dealer network/DB to the public, but there should be some consistency between what the user can see & order and what a salesman is told can be sold. I realize they may be rolling out options in groups but that’s no excuse to have such a disconnect. </soapbox>

I don’t literally mean the same DB, but an update in one should be triggering a process to update the other.

I believe their order tracker does have a connector that updates every X timeframe. Issue is whatever they match on is all screwy as sometimes a truck can show up to a dealer and the tracker still shows as 'in production'. Not sure how this happens unless the dealer is entering sloppy data, which can be as I have similar issues with users doing same. Struggle is real. LOL

Anyone have any idea when dual alternators will be available to order for '25s?

Trying to order a 2500 Rebel through Mark Dodge but only option that can't be added is the dual alternators.

New to this forum. Currently have a '23 TRX

Received an e-mail from Ram that my order has been accepted in the production queue. about an hour later I got a text from my dealer with an estimated ship date of 2-6 My truck: Ram 2500 Limited Mega Cab Cummins White

My 3500 Limited has been TBD on the tracker till this morning. It shows scheduled for Jan 16 which was 2 days ago with ship date still TBD. Not sure what this means..

Checked at dealer it has 2/8 ship date

Has anyone determined best pricing on a 25? I recall when I bought my 2022 the best price nationwide was Koons (for me). Whos doing highest discount now?

Just placed my order with Mark Dodge. Awesomely easy.
2025 Ram 3500 Lonestar DRW CTD
Granite Crystal Metallic Night edition
Level 2 plus
Offroad tires
Aux switches
5th wheel prep
50 gal fuel tank
Just received email that it is scheduled.

The order tracker online is still stuck on ordered though.
The online order tracker seems to be about 24 hours delayed from the email received.

Checked with Mark Dodge and estimated ship date is 2/8.

Mark Dodge is about 12% off MSRP right now.

I think I was 6% under invoice on the 2022. I recall at the time that was about 14% off sticker. So its close but not close enough to get a trade in and purchase another just yet.

New to the forums, posting an update on my order. Jan 23rd, order was confirmed. Jan 31st received an update via email it has been scheduled for production. I am surprised to be scheduled so quickly.

Nice, you got the dual alternators. Thanks for letting us know they are available to order now when I inquired earlier January they were not available to order.

How are you receiving emails on your build? I have a build in since December 9th and when I go to Ram build order tracking it shows it is still on Confirmed status. 2025 Limited Longhorn 3500 Mega Cab.
