2025 Ram 3500 new owner

Anyone else have transmission problems with the 3500 diesel? Bought the truck last weekend. Transmission blew today. Less than 350 miles on it. First problem we have had in 20+ years of Dodge ownership

Is that the 8 speed ? Sorry for your major problem . I hope they can replace it fo you quickly . Good luck .

Yes the 8 speed, I believe. We were only going about 35MPH when it went. Rural road.
 
That sux. Hopefully the process getting it fixed goes quickly. Welcome aboard
 
I have not heard too much about the 8 speed behind the Cummins having issues with that low of mileage.

Obviously something didn't go right with the mechanical build of that particular unit.
 
Update. I got my truck back. Dealer is saying a loose transmission hose. (???) we will see. The noise we thought was a transmission grining itself to death was a tranny fluid pump, so they say.. )(??) so I guess it’s under warranty and if anyone else has probs we have it documented here.. thanks all and I really do love Ram trucks, this one gave me problems… and heart burn.. haha

Very weird you did not see the oil leaking out.

Oh..... wow... thankful we have not experienced that with our customers, but I guess you never know
