Have a 2025 cab n chassis 4500 on order, wondering what is the difference in the cab n chassis engine as it has less HP n Torque than the standard HD trucks. Is it just computer detuned or different engine parts in & on it? Will I be able to wake her up to the HO specs later in her life if needed

Different parts inside but its detuned to last even longer, if you need more than the C&C powerlevels with the ZF trans and 4.44s you are doing something wrong. Most tuners don’t deal with the C&C trucks as they are great as they are. Its just like the older 4th gen HO/SO trucks the SO can tow anything the truck can handle the weak link was the trans so lots of people opt for the HO for the aisin trans.

I can tow 30k with my 01 HO and its 245HP/ 550ft lbs with 4.10s it’s not a rocket but it can manage if needed.

Awesome, thanks...I was wondering why I couldn't get the HO diesel engine when ordering my CC and why Ram would even tune down their engines for their CC models. My plan is a 12' flat bed to load my 2 seat UTV on then hook up to my 30' bumper pull travel trailer and HIT the Road looking for adventures I'm going from a 1994 12 valve Cummins to this so I'm sure it's going to do just fine for my upcoming retirement years...

You will have no issues at all. Sounds like a nice setup too
