I'm suprised there hasnt been more conversation on this new heater to eliminate carbon emissions.
Also on the new 2025 Ram build for the 3500 diesel it comes with only 20 inch wheels surprised no more 18 inch.

I thought that I read somewhere that the DPF was going to have an electric heating element to aid in boosting temps during regens. Will be interesting to see where the DPF is located in the exhaust since they moved the DOC right behind the turbo.

I read this as well but wasnt sure if it was for the 6.7 in the Ram or the commercial 6.7s used in other applications.

IIRC there is not a 7th injector on this system but hopefully this new setup if superior to the 22+ setups that seem to be wrought with issues.

I will say the 9th injector setup on my '24 powerstroke is awesome - regens are done in like 10 mins tops and less risk of making oil like my Cummins was.

Supposedly #7 is in the factory service literature. Saw it mentioned by a tech on another forum.

Not sure yet on the elec, but I read the DOC isn't there by the turbo on the CC trucks, it's all back where it has been.

On the note of changed emissions, anything out about the purported HEMI emissions changes that caused the 5hp drop?

The new electric DPF heater I read about is the main reason I’m looking to trade in my 2023 to a 2025. I’m hoping it reduced regen frequency.

Do not recall reading that it is being used on the 2025 engines though they were talking more like 2027/28
Now that you say that, I can’t find anything “official” confirming it is coming to 2025. It was mentioned in articles but I’m not sure if it might have been speculation.
