Building a 2500 Rebel with the Cummins and attempting to install the Insane Diesel bypass filter. On the 2025 with the new filter housing the pressure port is underneath the filter only really accessible through the wheel well.

That is fine but there is a connector in my way that I can't for the life of me remove. It's the green one in the photo. I attempted to pull the red tab on top towards me with long needle nose pliers but it doesn't want to budge. What is the trick to unplugging this?

Thanks in advance.

A picture of the top would be better but it looks like the red tab should be pushed on that side not pulled. The other side of the connector the red tab is likely bigger unless you just mangled the big head on it.

This is it from the top. Managed to snake my usb-c camera in there. To me it looks and feels like that red tab needs to move left to right. You can see on the left where I messed it up a little tugging on it with needle nose.

I have the best luck using a small flathead screwdriver between the mangled part and the body and twisting gently, or pushing on the part sticking out. Using something solid between your finger and the tab helps such as a socket, tip of a flathead, end of a ratchet, etc. Don't use it as a tool, just so you are pushing the tab with something that isnt squishy.

I think you are right. Just can’t get to the top of it without taking the intake all apart which is what I will probably have to do.

Trying to identify the connector type to lead us to how to open it.

These are some common "delco connectors" that are widely used on vehicles

and Deustch connectors
