2025+ Diesel Engine Issues?

Which valve train issues were addressed?

They said they switched suppliers for the hydraulic lifters right? That's all I remember offhand.

I recall there being no changes to the lifters or their supplier, which I believe is 3 separate suppliers and has beee.

@mbarber84 likely knows more.

There was a change in supplier that manufactures the rollers for 2025+ The lifter body, and the roller that attaches to it have always been supplied by two different suppliers as independent parts. I’m not sure when the two pieces are married together.

Other than the new supplier for the rollers, I believe the rest of the lifter assembly is still manufactured by the same supplier as previous years. I would assume they’ve been maintaining a closer eye on quality control but can’t say for sure

Redesign on the rocker mount as they are shorter so one would think Cummins addressed the oil bleed off due to surface fit

Not directly related to the physical rockers them self, I would imagine by switching back to a cast-iron block it is highly significantly to the over-all operation and health of the engines valvetrain including the rocker arms.
