2025 8 speed - long 3rd, short 4th

He didn't say he sells fixes for the Powerline. He said they just bought one to start creating the fixes for it. I don't know how long it'll take to get the parts to market, but since it's the same exact concept as the 10-speed GM and Ford use I wouldn't expect that it will take very long.

Riddle me this, how is he going to create a fix and or fixes for this new ZF/Powerline transmission that I have yet to hear/read about has any major problems and this transmission just got released to the public in the 20225 trucks just a few months ago? Sorry at this time I don't buy his line of sh it he's selling at this time... JMO

Do you guys need me to borrow my son's crayons?

You just said yourself that the Rams just now got the Powerline. Hence, we haven't seen the problems....YET. Because it just came out. Follow?

If you listen to the guy, AS I'VE SAID, the Powerline is a ZF design just like the 10-speed Ford and GM are using which isn't labeled as a ZF transmission but is taken directly from ZF design. So... the problems that plague the 10 speed are expected to also plague the Powerline in the Ram....because it's the same design. Follow?

So Nate, who makes a living dealing with the problems on this design, has the opinion that if he starts making the parts now they'll be ready when guys start wanting them. That's called smart business. He sends out dozens of kits daily to fix the GM/Ford application. He's expecting to make good money selling the same fix for the Ram application.

There are plenty of videos on YT now explaining the details of why the valve bodies in these new transmissions are junk and cause most of the issues, and detailed explanations of how his parts solve the problem. If he's full of sh*t why is he sending out box trucks full of shipments to customers with failed transmissions every week?

Do you have actual proof of him sending out box trucks full of shipments to customers every week? Or are you just taking his word? Or are you just making that part up? @WXman

you mean he makes a living scamming people. He has almost all negative reviews from people being scammed. But hey the youtube clan told you he is a good guy so it must be true….

If he is giving ZF ways to fix their issues should he not have his own fixes to prove they work? Or is that not how it works in the youtube nation.

Calm down. I'm tired of negativity from pepole who spread rumors with out any back up.
Show me another Ytube or any article to back it up with. I just pulled 13K from southern AZ to the Ozarks in Missouri and back a total of 3+K miles and the transmission and motor out performed any Ram truck I have ever owned, and I have owned many Ram trucks.

Just an FYI. I used to have an ecodiesel jeep. One of the ecodiesel forums I frequented, Wxman was banned from that forum. I'm surprised he's not banned here.

From his signature line he only has a 1/2 ton so im not sure why he is here…

2025 Ram 3500 DRW 6.7 Cummins.
I can barely notice when not under load, but when towing my 3rd gear seems very long and doesn't want to shift to 4th. When it does shift to 4th it only stays for a few hundred RPM and then jumps to 5th. Maybe by design, but the irregularity between gears when accelerating under load caught my attention.

Hoping someone has experienced similar or knows if this is normal.
To answer your question about it feeling like short shifting - it's because of the gear ratios and splits. They made a really awkward shift split pattern which you can see from 3rd to 4th and later on with 6-7 and 7-8. Ideally, the splits would be descending from 1st thru 8th in percentage instead of going down/up/down. 54% is a big split, followed by a relatively tiny 24%, followed by a larger 29%. It's going to feel awkward.

I'd rather see something like this with 25% being said to be the ideal split % for higher gears:
