2025 2500 shudder/vibration

I recently purchased a 2025 2500 megacab diesel and I have put around 1500 miles on it.

I was recently towing my boat (around 7000 lbs) and when I got on the interstate, I noticed a significant shudder or vibration between 70 to 75 mph, in 8th gear with light acceleration. As soon as I let of the pedal, the shudder/vibration went away. I was able to make this happen several times and it seems to always be at 70+ mph under light acceleration. It feels like it is coming from the driveline and is similar to a torque converter lockup clutch shudder.

I am going to take it to the dealer since it is under warranty but I just wanted to check and see if anybody else has had this issue.

Also, I am in the Knoxville, TN area and there are multiple Ram dealers in the area. Does anybody have any experience on a specific dealer service department in the area they would or would not recommend?

I've never experienced that but push them to do the ECM update if applicable.

There are some ECM and TCM updates available.

Thanks for the advice. Any idea what changes the ECM update makes? Also, do you have to specifically ask for any updates or do they automatically update everything when they have it in for service?

The truck was built in early 2025 and sat on the lot until recently so there may be several updates that have been released for it.

We asked for some details on what exactly the updates were - but the service writer never got back to us...surprise surprise.
