Not sure what brain dead sales manager orders any diesel without a cold weather group.....But mine did! So on to the question lol. If your truck was not ordered with the cold weather group will the engine have the block heater installed from Cummins? I know it used to be that way and all you needed to do was order the cord, is that still the fact? With Stellantis now owning them and as F'ed up as their CEO is who knows now.
 
Same here, an Ohio truck of all things. All Cummins have the block heater from the factory, but the electric cable is the one you get with the cold weather group. Plenty on Amazon, eBay or the dealer if you prefer.
 
Yep, just buy a cord. I bought an oem cord because I wanted to use as many of the factory attachment locations as possible.
 
Okay cool and thanks for the reply's. One more quick question, how do you get into the "Commercial settings"? it asks for a pass code.

I’ve never tried it but as I understand the default pin is 0000. If it’s been previously changed you’ll need to go to a dealer for confirmation it’s your truck and they’ll have to reset it. God knows what they’ll charge.
