2024 Power Wagon

Unique. Haven’t seen this on a PW before though. I really like how black roof/greenhouse looks on any car and truck, but after owning a black truck…pass.

Was that the best way they could finish on the A pillar? I think a horizontal to ground plane cutoff would be better?

I ran 35 micky Baja Boss on my PW. Loved them till I didn't
Want to go 37s, but not sure I'll like the overall truck height.

I just put a set of 35-inch Mickey T Baja Boss AT tires on my PW. What made you change your mind about them?

Not sure if it was tires or suspension parts wore out. But the cupped really bad and got noise.
Running Kenda Klever RTs now. So far, I like them.

IIRC, Crusty was running the MT, not the AT.
Thanks for that info! I'm running the Mickey Thompson Baja Boss AT - hopefully they wear well. For my use, the AT is going to be better. Too many road miles to go with the MT tire. Besides, these AT tires are very much a "hybrid" tire (AT/MT), so they should give me enough traction for the trails I run.

Nope, Micky Thompson Baja Boss AT .

Even before the cupping issue, I started getting more road noise out of them at about 20K miles.

But my Kendas are starting to do the same. Granted I need to rotate and balance them.

Odd that you keep having cupping issues.

Not having cupping issues now, just more road noise than when I got them. Just need to rebalance them and rotate. Been about 10K since I last balanced them.

Ah ok. I was worried it was the same problem again. I remember the hassle you went through last time.
Yea, it better not come back. Only thing I didn't replace was balljoints and hub bearings. But I got a feeling I'll be replacing hub bearings before too long. 85K miles on her now.

With a high-quality tire like a Mickey Thompson, tire cupping is usually not a "tire-problem" but is a consequence of something else: worn suspension components, unbalanced tires, bad alignment, or improper tire inflation. Any chance you are dealing with one of those things?

They were staring to make noise before the cupping issue. Tread wear wasnt all that great.
I Replaced everything but the balljoints and hub bearings. Alingment set to Thuren specs. Tires balanced. By the time I got all of that done, tires were too far gone to recover from the cupping.
Went with Kendas for new tires, no issues so far. Lot less money. More side bitters for snow and mud.
Got 17K miles on them. They are wearing great. Got plenty of tread left on them.

I'm a Mickey T fan. I have the ATZP3's on my 1500 and Baja Legend EXP's on the 3500. Really like the ride and wear, plus made in 'Merica.

*Edit to add - I really like that wrap. I'll have to do a little photoshopping to see what it would like on my Flame Red Mega Cab Night Edition.
