2023 Ram HD Builds and orders - Post and discuss your TRUCK order here! ** NEW USERS READ POST #1 **

Holy moly Batman…wow!
Yea. Great times. Ordered April 11th but it should be at dealer any day. Now I guess I will wait on this transmission recall to get resolved before I can take delivery. I’m hoping I will have it before February.

Well they probably lost the $6-8K in trade-in depredation, lost incentive and higher interest rates.. All I know is if July rolls around and I still don't have my truck I think I would explore other options...but that is just me.

Yea, those are true too. Interest rate especially for those of us financing.

Good day one and all. Would love to say I’m a newbie here, but unfortunately this is my second rodeo in 9 months. Ordered a Laramie on 3/10, took delivery on 8/15, and wrecked it on 9/12 (1,249 miles). Insurance finally totaled it last week and I just ordered my 2023 Longhorn on 12/13…and the wait game begins again.

Welcome back and sorry to hear that. Painful on multiple levels. Hopefully no serious injuries too.

I want to order a cab and chassis at the end of the year.. I wonder if you can get a 5500 limited 6.4 truck or it's like the 2500/3500 diesel only. The builder is still on 22 for those

Why would you want a HEMI on a 5500? I'm just curious. Putting a large camper on the back or something of that nature?

According to the code guide the Hemi is available even on the Limited for a 5500. Whether a dealer can order one or not, you'd have to check with them.

Anyone know how long it takes for an order change to the build (adding or deleting something) to then show up on the tracker online?

I'm sitting in 6 days since my order was assumingly updated.

I added power folding mirrors to my build after I received the VIN. Took 3 days to show up on order tracker.

For those that ordered Laramie with 12" dash (not radio) and now are forced to the standard dash, were you informed how much less your order would cost you?

I'm still waiting for my dealer to realize this is a real issue so I can get some answers.

Dealer told me there is a $10 difference between the Level2 and LevelF Laramie packages…..so…..nothing. Ram is doing nothing.

So a few more confusing things about Ram pulling the 12” dash from all Laramie.

Its still listed on the 2023 Ram builder site as part of the Laramie Level2 package. So if it was a mistake, why is it in there given the delay from when orders opened till the 2023 builder went live?

Also, it still lists “JAN” as a option on my truck.

Im more inclined to think they did intend it to be part of the Laramie Lvl2 package but had an overwhelming amount of orders for Longhorn and Limited trims and decided to pull it completely in a kneejerk reaction.

Ordered on Oct 11, and finally got my VIN! I'm in D1. Also got an email from Granger that Shipping date is 1/21, and pick up is 4-6 weeks after that. This is a 3500 Crew Cab 8ft bed Laramie Dually Patriot Blue. It has the 12" Digital Cluster and Trailer Reverse Guidance. Only mention that because the website says Trailer Revserse Guidance isn't available until Spring. Really wish I could get the digital rear view mirror. Hopefully I can add that on myself, or go aftermarket.

I highly doubt the value of that digital cluster is only $10. My build shows the "Jan" code as well. But I'm still sitting in "D" status.

That would be odd why offer it in a 5500 if not offered in 2500/3500? Def good if that's actually orderable
Hard to say - might be better uptake with the Hemi and chassis cabs, although with a limited that seems hard to fathom. I do see high trim level 4500/5500 Hemi's out there for big truck campers, Sherptek type conversions and the lot.

Your guess is as good as mine, but I'd say it's better than 50/50 it's orderable - on the 3500 Limited code guide the Hemi isn't even listed as a possibility.
