Former Ford guy here with 2020 F350 DRW 6.7, I was waiting for over 1 1/2 year for the 2023 F450 Limited. Finally, I gave up on waiting and looked closely to GMC and Rams.
After few days of research, I settled on 2023 Ram 3500 DRW Limited HO 6.7 Night Edition 8 ft bed, 4.1 gear Pearl White. I was happy about quiet AC, Turbo, superior cabin finish and little wider tire than F450 tires. Auto air suspension and TPMS was a bonus.. Well.. I am learning. I picked up the truck and took it to PPL and clear bra, clear film for the dash and the 12" control pad and full nano ceramic tint including the windshield. I paid $5600 for 8 year 125k , 5k plus parts w $ 100 ded Mopar extend warranty. Is that too much? Also, I did purchased 12 oil change + tire rotation for $1675 which I find it very fair. I may up the tires to 255 80 17 at my first tire wear out time. I am hear to learn.. I am not higher mechanicals and don't want to something that will create the extra maintenance nor headache. I do not pull trailer but do carry weight ( 3-4k lbs ) about 5% of my driving.

Nice truck!!

Since you’re empty most the time be sure to adjust the tire pressure down. Between proper tire pressure for the load and the auto-level suspension that truck will ride great.

The maximum care price seems high, as that’s $1300 over the quote I got last year for the $100/deductible. Maybe a DRW costs more? I ended up getting the $200/deductible for under $3500. I would have to use the warranty 8 times to save money on the lower deductible.

Try contacting Granger Motors for a quote.

As for the oil changes, do you plan to keep the truck 12 years or 180K miles? That’s a long plan for these trucks, they don’t need oil changes as often as the fords.

Thank you.. I will stay with my Mopar warranty which is about 1k more, but it may save me the drama. Grainger had 3 stars on Google review. As for the oil change, it is for 6 years or 12 times whichever comes first. After that, I will have to pay. I will lower the tire pressure just little. It already rides better than my 2020 F350 DRW Lariat.

The prices I listed are the Mopar warranty. It doesn’t matter where you buy it, it’s accepted the same everywhere.

Empty you can likely drop the rears to 35 psi. That’s enough for a RAW of 6,280.

That doesn’t seem like too good of a deal on the oil changes then, unless you put around 30K miles a year on the truck.

I did contact Juan Sanchez-Grainger Dodge and warranty they offer now is "NAE" only not Mopar. Oil change must be lot cheaper on Dodge.. For Ford, it was $180 for oil and filter.. And each full tire rotation for DRW was over $300 at the dealer. :). I will just consider it as sunk in costs. They did give me 6k off MSRP and gave me the good value for my trade in..

I think that must be a different dealership, Granger Dodge vs Granger Motors.

That’s an expensive tire rotation! But paying the dealer to rotate tires also sounds expensive. It seems like it would be cheaper to replace the tires for ones with free rotations at $300 every 7,500 miles.

Hard to say on the relative cost of oil and filter if you bought it at a dealership, since their prices are usually the highest. You can get 3 gallons of Amsoil full synthetic and a Donaldson DBL7349 (best filter for these motors) for under $150. Nice thing is that the Cummins can go a lot longer on an oil change. The main reason I mentioned it’s not too good of a deal on these trucks is they are rated for 12 months or 15K miles, so unless you drive 30K miles a year you won’t need 12 changes in 6 years.

Maxcare is Mopar Maxcare, as said, doesn't matter who you bought it from, it's honored nationwide (I'm speaking about US plans.)

That said, Floride (and I think Texas) residents are not allowed by their states to purchase discounted warranty plans. I guess they're trying to protect folks from 3rd party scams, but c-mon, it's a factory backed plan... *

Tell them Zach referred you from HDRAMS

@zach@granger

* I bought a "factory" warranty for my LG dishwasher knowing it had issues after install full well knowing it would be used (it was several times) but after that first year, it goes 3rd party and they can send any hack. Fortunately, I always got an LG factory repair guy.

Thanks for the mention.

That is the first I've heard about anything in Texas?

We can facilitate a sale in Florida and in California (the other state I'm aware of with restictions) if the customer has a second address to place the warranty on as well.

I wasn't sure and am probably wrong on that.

So it's FL an CA?

Zach-- Thank you!.. I just sent an email requesting to cancel my existing extend warranty with Helfman Dodge/RiverOaks
Grangermotors- Diana Fuentas just sent me the quote $50 over invoice. I will get it switched over soon.. :)
On my next vehicle purchase, I will look up Grangermotors as well

I cancelled my insurance earlier today. I was told that check will come in 6-8 wks. As soon as I get the check in my hand, I will contact Diana Fuentes -Grangermotors. It is same exact insurance. If I would have known about this dealer, I would have saved 8-11k off msrp instead of 6k for my 2023 Ram 3500 Limited DRW HO 6.7 , Night Edition 4.1.. If you ever come to Houston TX, Let's get together for lunch.

I'll be in McAllen mid September (ugh) LOL

If you're in Houston, Mark Dodge would have been your best bet on a factory order. That said, if you got $6K off, you still did OK. At least you didn't pay MSRP like some have.

Sure... Yes, I am happy with 6k off. They gave me the very fair trade in for my 2020 F350 DRW 6.7. I will keep the Mark Dodge in my note. You just know so much. :) . My truck is almost done with doing full PPF, Nano Ceramic tint all the way around and Dash cam.. What line of work do you do?

Enterprise IT. Big, small, I do them all - as long as it's IBM Power Systems and Storage, LOL.

That sounds all very high tech. I just noticed that you are in Douglas Co CO.. When I visit Colorado Springs, I usually stay at the house on 18### Rogers Pine Grove Monument CO.. I used to visit there about 2 or 3 times per year for 4 years.

Zach,
I am getting a quote from Diana Fuentes. But not sure if that is the same Diana Fuentes at Granger motors. Her name is on the staff list on service plan. However, phone number on the web is 515-999-8243, but her phone number on email is 515-999-8262. I just want to make sure that I am dealing with true Diana Fuentes.
