2023 models with DRVM, can you get the side view to work?

Following this as well. I have the 3rd gen mirror and the under seat connection module, just looking for the correct cameras (or compatible) to add to the side view mirrors.

Figured I would add some insight into this thread.

I had my 2023 mirrors torn apart to add the boost auto lights this past weekend.

I did not have the wiring for these cameras in my mirrors. More importantly it looks like you would need to replace the entire front plastic piece if you wanted to add the cameras. It may look like that little cube would come out but it is one single piece with the rest of the surround.

There must be a part number for the surround that includes the removable piece.

Going to remove this from my wants. Seems like a lot of work and nobody can find the correct part numbers for the mirror pieces.

Yeah, I’ve also since figured out that it’s the entire front mirror bezel that would need to be replaced to gain the camera bezel. There is no replacement part for that piece, you’d just have to get the whole mirror assemblies with cameras.

Shame, that would be a nice add on. On the plus side, that means there’s no reason to add the ‘23+ mirror and camera that requires the processor and trailer cam amplifier. Just get the older system for a lot less $ and work.

There’s a minor annoyance with using the older DRVM setup on 2023+. On every startup there’s a message in the cluster that says digital rear view mirror unavailable service required, but everything works and it goes away on its own.

Aww man. Things like that drive me crazy enough that they’re a deal breaker. I guess if I ever get around to it I’ll have to install the ‘23 set up.
