2023 HD Truck Equipment Listing Details

The new mirrors and digital dash have been covered in this thread and linked Article form the HDRAMS front page.

Even without the 5th gen cab, I think it would be dumb to release that display without offering a HUD option with it.

Two thumbs up on the HUD. If they’re going to try and push telescopic mirrors like GM why not modify the dash to incorporate the HUD that’s used in the 1500.

I’ve only used the HUD on my friend’s Denali during the day, and I could see it’s practically for night use. I’d be a little bummed about missing it by one year model, but not enough to rush a trade.

However, if the mirrors incorporate a push button that can be easily retrofitted on the ‘22, I may be inclined to upgrade that eventually.

While we're at it, they could throw in a damn telescoping steering wheel without a complete cab redesign.

Doesn't burn me that much, but I know those that are vertically challenged or with freakishly mismatched legs and torso complain a lot.

At my height I could use all the adjustments I can get! We bought a pallet of Skydex matting to put on our boats to help with shock absorption, and the rep gave me a seat version (seat and lumbar). I mainly used the seat to help see over the hood in my lifted 06, but I’ll tell you how good this stuff is. After driving from Lake Charles to Biloxi last week my tailbone hurt! Who would’ve though a new Longhorn seat wouldn’t be as comfortable as a an old 06 seat with a booster!

Went off on a tangent there, course correcting… a telescopic steering wheel would be amazing. Putting the seat as high as it will go, I have to slide out of the truck…until I found the setting for convenience exit.

I read on a Pacifica forum that their keys could be matched to user profiles to auto adjust seats and mirrors depending on which key was used to get into the car. I haven’t dug into the manual yet, but I haven’t heard anyone discussing that. Come to think of it, I haven’t even figured out the Adaptive Cruise Control that is supposed to be on my truck, I press the button (I think, it’s the button) and nothing.

Press adaptive cruise control, then hit set. It works just like the regular cruise control button but also has the adaptive feature turned on.

It happens, has been in the news before.
These trucks will eventually become undriveable with all the 'safety' BS that's being added, - just because some drunk pinhead killed himself because he was looking backwards leaning way out the drivers door of his 48" raised rock crawler PW whilst driving in reverse at 50mph, left foot on the side step, right hand on the wheel, the other crushing a Billy Beer after swigging the entire can in one gulp and a 40lb canvas sack of rusted cross-bar truck chains smashed down on the accelerator.

And we have to live with the results. Pfffft!

I’ll try that. Seems weird, if I hit cruise, it says “Cruise On”. When I hit the two trucks with arrows between them, nothing. Maybe I’m doing it wrong, I’ll try that tomorrow.

Well, OT in 1 page.

Anyway, there are 2 cruise buttons, Cruise (6) and Adaptive cruise (1).

The other is the following distance (2).

For adaptive cruise, use the top 2 buttons.

While we're at it. The Cruise button (6)with Set - is also the high idle toggle on diesel trucks, then + or - to raise/lower the idle speed.

I bet they will be using a cluster similar to the grand wagoneer, the new prototype mirrors have been spotted in the wild, I wonder how they will reconfigure the switch to accommodate the power telescoping feature, and how hard would it be to Retrofit to an older truck?
I was thinking the same thing. When I saw the 12” cluster I immediately thought “full digital dash” so possibly no more analog gauges.

I had a GMC with telescoping tow mirrors. Owned it from new. Over time, those mirrors got kind of cranky, especially if it was cold. Sometimes had to have someone push in or out on the passenger side one to get it moving while I pushed the button. It was a nice feature, but I'm not sure I'd order it personally.

I had not even thought about that. My 03 GMC Yukon XL had that feature, as did the wife's Escalade. I don't know if her new Pacifica has that or not, but pretty sure my Ram does not.

I'd like to see an equipment list for the new 23 Rebel model of there's one out there somewhere. If like to see where it falls in the spectrum between a regular HD and a PW.

I haven't found any yet. But that's probably because I don't know their VIN sequence as the Rebel is new for next year. I haven't been able to figure out the first 7 characters.
