2023 HD Crowdsourced Order Tracking & Waiting Room

Long thread. Hoping someone can offer some insight.

Order 2-2-23. Scheduled 2-21-23.
Any idea how long until this things gets built? I'm pretty antsy...my 20 was totalled a month ago and being truck less sucks!!
Unfortunately, its a total crapshoot. Some guys are built within a couple weeks of showing scheduled and some people like me were in scheduled status for almost 5 months before the truck was built. No one has been able to break the code on why some get built quickly while others sit in line for months.

I'd say you're pretty lucky that you got scheduled inside of a month of when you ordered, but it seems to be completely random when they will start production. I ordered 10/22, got scheduled early 2/23, and then finally went through production this week, now waiting for shipping.

Thanks guys. I also cant seem to get myself added to the form on page 1 of this thread.
Man I hope I am one of the faster builds! I also ordered a (don't ban me!!) 2024 Silverado HD. My plan being to take whichever one comes first. Sounds like I will be in another Ram unless GM gets busy and laps Ram.

Did you fill out the form at https://forms.gle/3qZBs41i4T7itRU66? You'll need your VON and the last name on the order (if a company order, then it'll be the full company name).

Yes, it keeps saying I need to enter a valid VON. The VON entered is the same one on the Ram tracking website that is working. Not sure why it is not working on the form.

Oh - does the RAM tracker show a VIN for your truck yet? It needs that to be populated first.

@brv10 , if your truck shows built on the tracker, does that mean its done with the offsite vendors or just off the factory line? Curious if I'm still offsite or done and waiting to ship out like the tracker shows (which I know isn't exactly gospel).

Order #57155331
VIN 3C6TR5EJ8PG509638
KZLD on 2/17, you are waiting on a train.

From what I'm hearing is the 24 GMs are at least a yar out form order

Uhhh idk where you are hearing your info but orders for 24 GMC and Chevys have been live for about a month. They start regular production next Tuesday.

You can order now, but multiple dealers are saying it's a year until delivery

Sure, could be. Its the same with RAM, nobody knows for sure the timetable. A bunch of people I've seen online already have tentative production dates in March. Assuming a month or so of shipping then thats a lot better then a year. But then there are people like me that don't have their order accepted yet by GM.

I have my order in still though because its like playing roulette knowing which one will show up first; RAM VS GMC VS Chevy.

Question for y’all. I only drive about 6ish miles to work everyday and today my truck I believe was doing it’s first ever regen cause I smelt it when I parked the truck at work.
The dpf gauge was at half way and now it’s at 1/4 I think I shut the truck down while it was mid regen.

Is it bad that I didn’t let it fully regen? The truck got 350 miles on it, brand new still.

Also should I take it on a long drive just for the hell of it after I get out of work or will it probably not do a regen since it’s only at a 1/4 now?

Diesel engines don’t like short trips…..

I haven’t received my new ‘23 yet so I can’t answer the Ram part of the equation. I have shut my Chevrolet down many, many times during regen and it usually just starts the regen again when up to temperature. I’m sure it’s probably the same for the new Ram.

I have a question for you since you have a new ‘23. Does your fuel filler neck look like this? I am trying to buy a cap for the diesel fill and want to know if it’s the same as ‘22B7C2FF37-3D39-42B9-BB24-4EC24A3AA0BC.png

Exact same for the filler. The truck comes with a red plastic cover on it just tell your dealer you wanna keep that cover. I kept mine so when I put def in it, it fully covers it from getting def in the filler. But if you want a cap yes it’s the exact same
