Hello, not new to the HD forum but it’s been a while. I have a 2023 2500 Laramie with the 6.4 Hemi. Today when I was checking oil on it I noticed a brown electrical plug that was attached on the driver side at the end of the radiator and it was unplugged. I don’t know what it is but plugged it back in. Does anyone know what it’s for? I’ve tried to post a picture but it is telling me it’s too big.

Wiring harness are similar across trim levels. It may be for a feature your trim level does not have. Are you the original owner of the truck?

Yes I’m the original owner. It’s a loaded Laramie, only thing it doesn’t have is Ram Boxes.

Hey I think I have the same question. Did you ever figure it out? Here is a picture I took.

I have a 2021 Ram 2500 Big Horn.

Is it a gasser? My cummins don't have that plug (not that I could find anyways)

FYI mines plugged in. Been that way since it left the factory in ‘19 because I never goofed with it.

Do you have a dual fan or single fan set up for your radiator?

I just bought this vehicle last week and the plugs looked like they've never been plugged in ( the fuse box end was tucked away I moved it for the picture). I just wanna make sure I won't have an issue due to that down the road.

I still have to check mine in the morning.

Update.

There is another fan against the back of the radiator. I have no idea why this was unplugged.

As of right now I cleaned the plug and connected it. The coolant is very dark brown I don't know if this could have caused that but I will flush the system and put fresh stuff in. Truck again is a 2021 Ram 2500 Big Horn 6.4 HEMI with 70k miles.
