Has anybody figured out how to work the tow specific navigation on the new 2022 HD Rams? If so, is it any good?
This was advertised as one of the updates for the new uconnect 5 in all ‘22 trucks. Nobody has been able to find it though. Maybe it’ll be an update down the road. What is tow specific NAV? I did not notice anywhere in the 2022 OEM NAV that I could input gross combined weight, length or height like I can in my Garmin trucker GPS.
Yes it would! There is a guy on YouTube that keeps trying to find it with no luck. I don't have my truck yet but this would be a welcome feature if we get it!
I’m sure you’re right, that would make sense. That might be the one positive I can take away from the 6 to 8 month timeframe for new builds. By the time mine arrives, it will have all of the late model year” features lolI would have to dig around for the online source, but I believe Ram advertised the tow specific navigation as “late model year availability”.
I'm not trying to be negative but this is the main reason I passed on most of the Hi-Tech options in my build. I have seen multiple videos of people trying to get this to work.
All the manufacturers keep advertising stuff that doesn't work as advertised. I can buy a trucker gps system that works excellent for $400 and updates for life. Don't get me started on car play or hardwired cameras for my camper. Are they unaware of wireless technology.

Neat! That must be new.It is in trailer setup. When you click on a trailer to configure brakes and such it is there.

I bought myself a used Jeep and I was concerned about first finding out what it was built and how it is currently preserved through epicvin , where I looked at the vin code, as well as the factory settings and equipment. This way it is easier not to break my head, and immediately convenient to use. Therefore, I have no problem with towing to date. Are they unaware of wireless technology.
Yes, but it takes you to a blank screen still. It is in trailer setup. When you click on a trailer to configure brakes and such it is there.

The NAV screen is still in the radio as of a couple of days ago.@RamCares i believe the tow-specific navigation has been completely scrubbed from the ram website....like it never existed. i cant find it mentioned anymore, its a shame they arent following through with this. TomTom already has stand alone devices that offer RV/Trailer specific navigation, im assuming Ram doesnt want to pay additional money to TomTom to get it working on the uconnect 5 systems......like they already promised before i purchased my truck.
