2022 Ram Trailer Camera Plug Locations

Hi All,

I am getting ready order a 2022 Ram 3500 Dually to tow my fifth wheel. On the build there are two trailer camera options 'Wired Tow-Mode Camera' and 'Trailer Camera Wiring (No Camera) by Mopar'. I understand that the first option is to see the camera through your digital rear view mirror and the second is for an auxiliary camera to be viewed on the U-Connect screen. However, they both appear to only have the plugs on the bumper of the truck rather than in the bed of the truck where my fifth wheel connections would be. Are there any options to get either of these connections in the bed of the truck?

First, you were in the wrong forum, I moved the thread.

Second, the 12-pin Aux camera connection is also in the bed if you have the 5th wheel prep group and the package for the camera (or upper trim). There's a plug behind the bumper that has to be moved to use either one or the other.

First, you were in the wrong forum, I moved the thread.

Second, the 12-pin Aux camera connection is also in the bed if you have the 5th wheel prep group and the package for the camera (or upper trim). There's a plug behind the bumper that has to be moved to use either one or the other.

Do you have any picture of it in the bed of the truck?

Not the best photo but you can see the black plastic towards the rear driver's side of the bed.

So that spot had the auxiliary camera plug as well as the 7 pin one?

That is the part itself that mounts on a plastic spacer in that location of the bed.
