2022 Ram power wagon wheels; Forged or Cast?

I have recently ordered a 2022 Ram power wagon. From my research on past power wagons, (Pre 2019?), It appears the standard wheels were Forged Aluminum. The sales code for my truck wheel order option is: WFW, (17X8.0 BLACK PAINTED ALUMINUM WHEELS).
Does anyone know for sure if these wheels both on my truck, and by default; Are ALL 3 factory power wagon wheel options of Forged or Cast Aluminum construction? Thanks for any help with this

Thanks for your reply. Do you know if the power wagon wheels were ever Forged in previous years? (If so maybe current Cast construction is a cost saving exercise.......)

Thanks again. I might also look at the AEV wheels as an option if I go for 35' tires.

I think you will find most wheels these days are cast. It doesn't mean they aren't strong.

Forged rims generally cost a few thousand per rim.

I agree with most being cast due to cost

I have aluminum beadlocks on my Toyota and they’re cast aluminum with forged rings.

Would be $$ to have forged entire wheels.

I came across this old thread while looking for info on my factory wheels (2024 Tradesman with PW package). It seems that the PW wheels for 2024 were forged aluminum. I guess that's why they sell these for around $750 per wheel on the Mopar Parts website.

Here is a screenshot from the Ram Website.

I want to run my winter tires on the factory wheels; the winter tires are Nokian Hakka LT3 in size 315/70 R17. For comparison, the Nokians are much smaller than my Mickey Thompson Baja Boss AT tires in the same size.

I've got two questions:

(1) The Nokian tires have a wheel width range of 8-11 inches. The factory wheels are 8 inches wide. Although its on the bottom end, this wheel should be wide enough for the tire, right? I've read different things, and gotten different info from two different Discount Tire shops.

(2) The factory wheels have around 45 mm offset. Aftermarket wheels for larger tires on these trucks range from 18 - 29 mm offset. If I run the Nokian tire on the factory wheel will I get rubbing? The Nokians are studded, so I don't want them rubbing on front end components or on the wheels well.

Thanks in advance for any replies!

I sent several emails to RAM customer service asking this same question in 2021, before i bought my current 2022 Power Wagon via a factory order. RAM customer service 100% refused to give me a straight answer and instructed me that only the dealer would have this information regarding the wheels as they have all the in-depth knowledge about these trucks......not them. My response to this crap was that I pointed out to them via email that YOU folks actually manufactured the truck, not the bloody dealer? Moving on, it gets worse, way worse......An good example of one of my local RAM dealers depth of knowledge about the vehicles they actually sell was when i visited the dealership in person to ask about pricing on a factory order for a 2022 Power Wagon, sadly this is how it went: The sales manager got on his computer screen, (The same basic website that we would use to look at RAM truck model choices), then promptly informed me that you cannot order a Power Wagon as a stand alone truck, you have to first order a RAM Big Horn model and then modify it via the accessories and options available on the checkboxes on the RAM website to turn it into a Power Wagon? This bloke was the head sales manager of a RAM dealership and did not even know that the Power Wagon was a stand alone model .....I could not make this stuff up.
When i did cold call RAM dealers soon after this experience to get the best price on a factory order, what do you think was the first question I asked them? Yep you guessed it: Do you know what a Power Wagon is?
For the record Dennis Dillion in Idaho were the most responsive to a factory order at the time so thats where i bought my truck, well worth the 800 mile round trip from my house to pick it up.......(and they didn't even force me order a Big Horn first)
The only straight honest answer i ever received regarding the wheel material type was from this forum, thank you again......

I have thought about going to the 17” Power Wagon wheels on my 2500 Tradesman. The reason being to get a taller side wall tire and possibly a little smoother ride. But being they are cast wheels, Im not sure how they would hold up towing. I think they are rated for about 3200# each and the rear wouldn’t be anywhere close to that but the front with the Cummins and loaded up doesn’t have as much of a margin.

I might be selling my 2024 Power Wagon wheels. They are forged. They have only seen about 300 miles. Let me know if you are interested. I’m on the west slope in Colorado.
