2022 Ram HD Builds and orders - Post and discuss your TRUCK order here! ** NEW USERS READ POST #1 **

I can't believe what I just saw. I took a screen shot Monday morning of the online tracker and it showed "Shipped Nov. 6th 2022". Just now I checked it again and now it's showing "Shipped Nov. 9th 2022". Did the train backup, unload and ship out again? This online tracker is bogus and I no longer put any faith it in whatsoever. The estimate delivery date might as well say "Someday"
I just had the same thing happen. Was wondering if the first was shipped from Mexico to Texas, and the 2nd was shipped out of Texas.

That would be awesome if that's what happened. Since we are only provided a few vague details we can only make assumptions of what's really going on. The pessimist side of me is believing it's still in Mexico but fingers crossed it's on American soil.

Expected delivery 12/1

MD told me 15-25 weeks. If it makes it here by 12/1 that’ll be pretty close.

Mike is a good guy. He gets bogged down. If he responds to you, he usually gets your truck shipped. I don't know of a single person that hasnt gotten their truck shipped once he gets involved. He is also the one that hands out the free warranty, if your truck is really late.

Does 3 months sitting in a rail yard count as really late?

He responded to an email from me on 10/16. Hoping that you’re right about it shipping once he’s involved. Mine has only been built for approximately 48 days so maybe that’s not long enough.

By all industry accounts the quality in MX is better than the trucks built in the US. Just ask Ford and GM owners. I can tell you RAM 100% compensated me with back end freebies. They (RAM customer service) gave me a free 7 year 100k mile 0 deducible bunper to bumper warranty. Mopar, not that crap warranty. I also was given 2 Oil contracts. one for 2 free oil changes and another for 8. Thats about 9k in free stuff for waiting 8 months on a truck. I know its frustrating, but trains, customs, China, parts, and logistics all come into play. I'm very pleased I waited on this 22 and feel it is the best built of the big three. Just to add, its not going to get any better anytime soon. I would wait on it. There are plenty of dealers offering discounts under MSRP, dont buy form one that doesnt. Mark Dodge in LA and Jimmy Britt in GA are both under MSRP.
I would be happy with the 0% interest that was in place when I ordered it, but would be glad to add an extended warranty, as a former Chrysler tech I know they are very dependable trucks but anything can break and can get pricey

Sounds like "Mike" is the guy to get things done, how did you manage to locate him

Got an email and a call its at the dealership... will probably take a week or so to get to it but pretty excited the wait is almost over.

Who has had their truck delivered from Mark Dodge? Any issues? How much? I am roughly 800 miles away in Florida and was originally thinking of going to get it, but with the holidays it may be toughre than i originally thought. Anyone around the 700-900 mile range?

Thanks

Find a way to go get it. It takes 500-700 miles for the engine to wake up. When it does, the truck really comes alive. It has something in it that limits the HP and Torque until you get the miles on it.

Mike emailed me back with the standard story. Shipping, trains etc. I’ve been sitting since August 12 Ordered May, I just got a email today from Ram care, it was like a politician at election time it did not answer any of my questions directly but I did feel better after reading it. I see no end in sight, ordering a 22MY delivered in 23MY is more than likely the scenario for a lot of us waiting patiently. I even tried the dealer to no avail all they can say it shows TBD. The lack of communication is truly unbelievable. When I called Ram Care the person couldn’t even tell me where the truck was, I asked is it in Mexico? They responded I don’t know. I give up, there in control and there’s nothing I can do to change the outcome. Good luck to everyone waiting.

You have a couple options. They can put out a bid on your behalf to have it shipped. Prices may vary as you could catch a break and there could be a hotshot driver with room for 1 more vehicle that would accept a low ball or you might sit for a while because no one wants to bite on a reasonable offer due to their routes. MD can also have someone drive it to you, but they'll put those 800mi on it and I'm not sure what the cost is. That's not advertised that I know of, but the driver that picked me up in Houston was telling me about long deliveries he'd made. The cheapest option is definitely to fly and drive, that's a 1 day trip if you have the motivation to spend about 3/4 of a day travelling between flying and driving.

I plan on having it shipped to CA when it finally arrives to MD. When did you place your order and is it DRW?

I feel the pain. Past the 4 month date now since order. Ordered July 8th. I've said it before. The biggest frustration and really only thing making me upset is the fact that the truck is literally 38 miles away, and no one seems to be able to do anything.
That sucks….

I can't keep from thinking RAM detected some defect in these new trucks and decided to fix them at the factory instead of shipping them out and then dealing with the recalls. I've heard others say they can't ship because the railroad wants more money. The delays could be from a combination of these two things or a number of other factors, but who knows, since RAM seems to be very poor at communicating with the customer with any meaningful information. I imagine there are several thousand trucks setting at the factory and this equates to hundreds of millions of dollars. That is a very large sum of money tied up because they aren't sold to the customer yet. Mine has been built since Sept. 2nd. Yes, I'm pissed because it's taken so much longer than the original estimate delivery of August 16th, but I truly believe RAM is doing everything in their power to get these trucks across the border. This whole experience has soured the excitement of first time RAM owner and first time special ordering a truck. My 11 year old Tundra is still going strong so I just hope this new RAM last that long.

My truck was ordered on April 25th with 2 missed delivery dates so far. As of early this week it now shows "shipped" with estimate delivery of Dec 2nd, but at this point, who knows how much faith to put into those dates.
In todays environment, I believe delays are inevitable due to too many factors. If you are correct about “potential defects”, then yes, I’d rather these be corrected before they are shipped.
If the delays are due to “supply chain” issues, then there isn’t much RAM can do, including railroad issues. My major concerns are if parts and supplies availability impacts builds, what options and packages will change just so trucks can be pushed out. When will we know about then, and will we get refunds?
Luckily, I’m not in a “need” or “must have” situation. I feel sorry for those who are in a “must have” situation.
