2022 Ram HD Builds and orders - Post and discuss your TRUCK order here! ** NEW USERS READ POST #1 **

Mine shipped out of Saltillo 9/17. Was scheduled to arrive at Port Allen on 9/25. Instead, it went to a rail yard in NOLA, 60 miles away. It has been there since. ETA to Port Allen moves out 7 days, every 7 days. Current Port Allen ETA is 11/19. I have ZERO faith that it will stay that date. Has moved out every week 8 times straight. Aaron G, from MD, has been working on it, but no one at Stellantis seems to care. Worst logistics I have ever seen!
This is after my truck was built in June, and sat in Saltillo for three months!!!

Meanwhile my 2017 racks up more miles, and loses value. If Stellantis was competent, I would have had my truck in July!

Just a heads up to everyone, especially the dually owners. The front tires are supposed to be at 80 lbs. The rear are supposed to be at 65 lbs. The rear tires are a different load rating on the duallys, not sure on the SRW. The dealer set all my tires to 80-87 PSI. One, it rode like a buckboard and two; could have caused a blowout if was hauling the 5th wheel. So make this one of your check items at delivery. You have to take the rear outside wheels off to change the pressure. We also posted a video walk-through of the new truck, just click the link in my signature to get to it.

Good to know. I will definitely check on that. Latest update, she left some transfer yard in Georgia this morning heading to Lawrenceville. She’s getting close!

Mine was like that too! However I did not have to remove tires to change pressure. The valve stem caps on the inside tires of mine are gage friendly.

not to be a debbie downer, but its an easy 7-10 day wait for it to get out of the Lawrenceville yard to the dealer.

I jsut took mine back to the dealer to fix and do the first oil change. Service thought I was crazy to have it done at 1400 miles. It sat in Mexico for 7 months before I got it last week, so I wanted fresh oil in it. And the dealer gave me two free oil changes when I bought it. I plan on buying valve extenders here real soon.

Very true. I am holding on to my salesman’s word though that he is going to “hot flag” the truck…. Still hasn’t told me exactly what that is though

It means jack$hit. Mine and GrizzlyRam were both Hot Tagged by our dealer and Ram corp. Both sat for 7-10 days. VA transport is either that far behind or have some of the RAM shipping crew from Mexico working in GA.

Correct. You do not need to remove outside wheel. Inside stems are either right across from the outsides, or at 180 deg away. You do need a "truck" style double headed chuck. Also, if they were set at 80 cold, could easily read 90+ hot, but will not hurt anything. Not correct, but not a blowout risk.

Good to know. You think the blowout risk is low with a 5th wheel 3k pin weight hooked to it? I guess I need to go actually look at the tires to see what the max PSI is on the rear. I just looked a the door label.

Cold max on 10 ply E rated is 80 PSI cold. Can actually carry more weight at 80 v 65, but may wear faster in center and certainly ride harsher.

Front and rear are same tires. Just 4 of them in rear, and can therefore carry more load.

From my dealer:

“I am not showing that it is on a train. However the manufacturer does have an alternative logistics process they are doing to help get all the trucks at the Saltillo Plant moved and this alternative system does not update in our
system.”

They hired a bunch of locals, unhooked the odometers, gave each of them 4 bean burritos and told them to drive them to their destinations, upon arrival “RUN”

Ok here’s my hypothesis for all us waiting patiently for builds that were ready to ship in Augustish time frame. It seems all the trucks in that time frame are delayed, but I keep seeing ones built later moving along to delivery. I believe they opened the large parking lot around the time our trucks were finished Drove them all they way to the end of it and said good by. Now as more and more units finish ready to ship they start to bury us in the back rows. Time goes on lots fills up. Now they start to ship but unfortunately our units are in the back and i guess theres no gate to open to do first in first out. So RAM starts shipping units in front of ours and as they go more pile up in those empty spots to be shipped out before ours Again. Ram emailed me today with a case number and bla bla bla, so us guys in limbo better get comfortable I see the 23s getting shipped before us. what do you guys think?
