You would likely gain that new guage cluster and new tow mirrors as well. I was quoted 8500$ more for a 23 in the exact 22 i ordered. and even worse interest rates

Hmmm. Wouldn't sway me to order a 2023 especially given how much more I'd pay. Thanks for sharing.

Agree, that's a lot of $$ for those "upgrades."

I will say, the digital dash in my wife's 2022 Grand Cherokee L is pretty sweet.

Just tried callin the UP hot line. Super frustrating, as their automated system kept grabbing the tiniest of ambient sounds when I was trying to enter my rail car number . Finally got the correct number entered, only to be told that the RAM car info had not been uploaded into the system . My truck is due into the local rail yard yesterday or today, so I guess I'll just suck it up an be patient the last few days of this almost 7 month delivery

Can anyone help me on finding where my truck is located. Ram stated that it has been built since 8-12 and I still have a TBD status on delivery.
Is there any other way to know where I am in line to get shipped?

the CSX line is like that too. mine starts with TTGX. it takes 3-4 times for it to get it. I bet it is not hearing the correct thing. Mine did that and i did not catch it. it told me there was no info about that rail car. Are you sure its UP and not CSX? Where is it headed to?

I was strictly going by what I read in your original post - you wanted to order a limited or longhorn but couldn't. If it were me, I'd order a 2023 and cancel the Laramie that's in route. If price is a factor, then you can't go wrong with the one you have on order now - better yet, the one you're driving.

Utah, so it should be UP. Dealer said it was in Wyoming on Monday afternoon, and he said it would typically be another 2-3 days from that point.

All just a heads up on those considering switching to a 2023, they are pulling options left and right from packages. Pulling the 12" digital cluster, heat rear seats, new digital rearview camera, etc due to shortages. Jump over to the 2023 thread to see the discussion.

Also, a buddy sent me an article and it looks like some railroad unions are close to striking so that may slow down deliveries even more.

yeah, i imagine they used all the parts to finish the 22's on order. And i read where the union rejected the Biden compromise last week and are preparing to strike on the 19th of Nov if they don't get an increase in PTO for illness. Its across the whole board too. Conductors, Engineers, and maintenance unions.
 
Just got an update! In production on 12 OCT 2022. ETD is 20 DEC 2022.

I want to order one but I'm waiting for my "final" camper in a year or so before I put the effort in wiring it, lol.

Not sure about the trailer camera part, but maybe it's related to the side mirror cameras projecting on the rearview mirror?

The only thing not available on the Laramie is the reverse steering and the new 3.0 mirror. I ordered a Laramie last month with all the other options.
 
So, dealer just called me and said that truck got moved up a day and should now transport on the 15th. Ram tracker still nothing….
