2022 Ram HD Builds and orders - Post and discuss your TRUCK order here! ** NEW USERS READ POST #1 **

It’s been a interesting 24 hours. Received a congratulations email from Aaron at MD with instructions on how to proceed but non of the options gave any info if you weren’t financing through them.
He called this morning and got everything squared away and the shipping estimate to delivery it to the shop.
Around an hour later he called again with more news. He went to move the truck, couldn’t find it, was told it had a dent and was sent to the body shop.
Aaron just called again while I was typing this , said the shop called, it’s not bad to repair but it’s gonna be seven days till they get it back to him…
So I’m now going to eat some blackened chicken, baked taters, fried zucchini, have a few drinks and go cry in my pillow…. Cheers
There was a fat bottomed black one right in front on the sidewalk on Wednesday. Thought it might have been yours but maybe not if you had damage.
Sucks that it wasn’t just a bumper replacement.
Good luck! They seem on top of everything even how busy they are right now!

It probably was mine. I didn’t get a email from Aaron till Wednesday evening and the dent wasn’t discovered till Thursday before lunch.
Wish it had been the bumper instead, it’s coming off anyway..

Just got a call from my salesman. They are tired of waiting and are going to arrange pickup themselves of my truck from Mira Loma tomorrow morning. Should hopefully be here tomorrow afternoon but may not be able to pick it up until late tomorrow or Saturday.
Did yours make it to SLO County this afternoon?

.

I get that logic but I wouldn't dump the 22 for the main reason that prices have changed a good bit. At least from when I ordered in January it looks close to 10% higher sticker price. I'm not a betting man but we can all agree the 23 will be even more. Unlikely that you'll see any real utility from the 1 model year change but you'll certainly pay a serious premium for almost nothing added. Maybe I am too optimistic but I think those of us who have 22's on order are getting the last of a "value" proposition.
Yes, my current build has increased quite a bit. It is mainly going to depend on how they allow the options to be added on the 23s and what that rebel package looks like. For my build, I had to add some options that I really didn't want to get other stuff that I did want. I started out at a tradesman and ended up with a pretty optioned out BH, lol. I'm likely to take this truck but it is looking like it is going to come at the absolute worst time for me.

Officially given up as to when it's arriving at MD. KZLT at Port Allen since June 19 delivery date of July 6 blew through it. Ram tracker had July 15 then TBD, Today it has July 16 and then at 5 pm went to TBD.

Mine did about the same.
From what I’ve heard from MD this past week I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s not setting at MD but hasn’t been checked in yet. I was told that almost 300 vehicles arrived around July 4th and they are very behind on sorting through everything, vehicles have a first inspection before your contacted which will be a email with instructions on how to proceed with the process…

My BH was pretty well optioned out too.

I guess it is what is at this point, I guess it's better than the 26 weeks I quoted in April.

Sorry to hear what happen to your truck.

@G'Dave.... When I chatted with Sandy on 10.1, the power fold mirrors were available on a Laramie. Then I went to order the truck on 10.28 and they were not. I chalk that up to the crap show we are now living in. One day something is available, the next it may not be. I've got a number of friends who own businesses and we have all come to that conclusion with supply chain issues. One owns a number of pizza joints. He mentioned last weekend that he never thought it would be so tough to get materials to put together a pizza! It will certainly be interesting to see what happens to options in MY23. Depending on what happens, I've got half a notion to check on one in a few months.

I was actually really surprised to get them. I didn't know they were included until I got the build sheet. Even then, I was skeptical, and held my breath until taking delivery.

The only option that I don't have and would like to have are the mirror mounted LED reversing lights. Those are super cool....

My BH was pretty well optioned out too.
Real close to my January order. No tech package for me as I thought it would hold my build up. Was 61k when ordered and now it is 66k I believe. Thank God for the MD discount and price protection, lol.

I read your post a few hours ago, thought about it and decided to give you some advice.
Just cool your jets and do not poke the bear with a visit. They do have the power to prolong your wait time and I’m sure your not wanting that to happen.
I did stop in and had a chat with the Sales Manager who had called me. It was the Chrysler District Manager who had called him and asked about the giving out the number. We chatted for a bit and he found out it was the number for the carrier service and not the Rolla gang who I called and he said not to be concerned, it was just a casual call from the Chrysler chap and no one was in any kind of stress. I mentioned that United Road had a website that had their number all over it with encouragement to call them, and I did. The dealership had gotten in a 3500 Dually in earlier this morning and my salesman was excited and checked with the lot manager who stated it was for a customer who ordered it in March and it wasn't a Black version. They said there are only a few trucks waiting at Rolla for the dealership and so the next semi in should have my truck. They thought even maybe later today since this was around noon. But not to be. I have to fly to Phoenix Monday for a client and back Tuesday late and then out Wednesday night to Vegas for another client and not returning until late Friday morning so this will hopefully keep me distracted and maybe something really really nice to come home and pick up on one of the days I'm home.

I'm not sure if that is true. I don't remember the website showing ventilated seats on the package lists when I ordered, but going through all the recent builds they all seem to have it. It was included in Laramie A when I bought and I am struggling to find an EL with a laramie package that doesn't have ventilated seats.
I tried to order another Laramie just now and no ventilated seats no matter how you build it. Confirmed with dealer that is how the rest of 22's will be.

Thanks…
Things happen and from the sound of things it’s almost common to have some kind of dent or ding.

Same deal with mine. The truck arrived at MD on the morning of 4/27. Aaron called me around lunchtime with the "good news, bad news" story. Fortunately I only needed a new front bumper. It looked someone had whacked it with a hammer.
