2022 Ram HD Builds and orders - Post and discuss your TRUCK order here! ** NEW USERS READ POST #1 **

Starting to get hesitantly excited! Tracker shows that my truck shipped on 7-11. Now I just need to figure out how to get the rail car information to track . I know it is listed in here somewhere, but if anyone could help point me in the right direction, I would appreciate it.

Contact your dealer to get which rail company its on and the rail car number, then use the link below to contact that particular rail company.

Just got below info from Sandi at MD:

Looks like it may have been in the huge mass of vehicles we received.

Current situation:
We must check it in for transport damage, if its minor we have to schedule it for repair. It must go through the shop, PDI process and final inspection. That process can take 4-7 days depending on the volume we have. The dealership will then email you an announcement notification with photos and ‘next step’ instructions. Our sales manager will try reaching on the phone to congratulate you. Then our finance team schedules a zoom meeting with you within 24-72 hours to complete your terms/finance, finally our logistics specialist will contact you to arrange shipping or your choice of delivery.

Currently this process is taking 7 days due to the port dropping over 300 vehicles on us in the last 72 hours.

Please follow the instructions that will come with the email announcing it has arrived when you receive it.

I have no control over who is serviced first nor the ability to expedite, and they are processed in order off loaded.

Received nearly this exact same message from Kippie today. My delivery is scheduled to dealer 7/25 so that puts me August 1 as possibly the soonest I can get it. I'm pretty sure its in Port Allen yard at this point.

Can mark me off the list. Got tired of waiting for my ordered truck. (After basically 70 days ready and sitting in Mexico) I found what I wanted at MD with a discount so wired the money. They will meet me in Katy Texas where I’ll bring it on home to Johnson City, Texas on Thursday.

Hey I got the same email word for word…

I hope it’s not a black dually !

If you got the same email as several of us it’s at the dealer not Port Allen

Well, heard from dealer and truck is not delivered. So tracker and ramchat are incorrect. Unless it got delivered to the wrong dealership.

Well ladies and gentlemen, I finally got to pick Whitey up yesterday! Aaron and Robert at MD were simply fabulous and even filled up the 5o gallon tank! Even Aaron couldn't believe how long it took our friends at Ram to build this truck. During our brief wait, I mentioned to my girls that this was the first dealership I've been in that didn't have a vehicle inside. I also mentioned that this was the first dealership (and probably one of the few businesses) where everyone was upbeat, happy and asked if we had been helped. What a culture they've created at MD! They had also just received an award to be the first CDJR dealership to sell a vehicle in all 50 states. They also mentioned they are currently the number one volume CDJR in the country and had moved somewhere around 555 vehicles last month and that was down a few from the previous month.
As many have mentioned, the truck is way worth the wait. Our friends at Ram carried through enough previous items to make it feel like "home" and added a few to give it that new exciting feel. (I really do think that those of you buying your first Ram will find the controls fairly intuitive.) The last Whitey was a 2016 and was a great truck. I do very much like the way it drives and the H.O./Aisin combination is really nice. The feel of the skinny pedal on the right is far better than the way the '16 came, but not as good as my '16 was after it's weight loss program. The Longhorn package is way swank, especially coming from a BH. (The main reason for the LH over a Laramie was for the power folding mirrors.) The Uconnect 5 seems to be much more responsive and user friendly. Our 14 yo daughter loves the backseat and all options it gives her with the leather, plug ins and cup holders and says she really looking forward to the heated rear seats in just a few months. Last night we found the interior accent lighting on our way home. We've got a few miles to drive on the way home to discover a few more features. And I'm looking forward to getting it back to the shop so we can make it "mine".
While I'm not going anywhere, thanks to @brv10 and @OfficerDirtySanchez for all you do and to everyone else here for the good times while I waited and from this point moving forward!
Anyway...here's a few pictures of Whitey. We ran down to the end of the Mississippi. It's the first time on this end as we only live about 70 miles from the headwaters and are spoiled as we get there whenever we want.

Man, that took long enough! Glad you got it brother, enjoy.

Maybe not. Aaron told me my truck was at the port but it was actually around back at the dealership. @Bombaman seen it, then the tracker updated a few days later saying delivered. Now it’s waiting to be inspected which I hope happens before the end of the week.

Mine came in with front and rear bumpers damaged
Both had to be replaced. Flying in early tomorrow to drive it 1550 miles home
They seem very backed up right now.
Hope we all get them by the end of the month!

@Bigsnowman (and everyone else who got their MD emails, delivery confirmation etc), CONGRATULATIONS.

MD filled my 50gallon tank as well when I picked up my Laramie from them in May. They are awesome.
BTW - mine is a base model Laramie, not even Level 1, and it came with power folding mirrors. Maybe they screwed up. But they are pretty cool.

:( I ordered 10 days after you and I'm still sitting on confirmed. I sold my TRX when I ordered my 3500 and I'm beginning to regret it. Regardless, congratulations to you!
I sold my 2018 Cummins in January because I was told 8-12 weeks or something like that. I completely regret selling my truck. This Laramie better be incredible because that Tradesman was perfect and incredible reliability.

Mine had a damaged front bumper. Aaron from MD called me on April 27 to let me know the truck had arrived, but would need the bumper replaced, and this would hold things up by a couple of days.
This was ok for me because I still had my old EcoDiesel, and couldn’t get there anyway due to work etc.

I have a question so I have my rail car number witch brv10 gave me how do I track it. I have seen the phone numbers on the form but what if you are not with one of those rail companies. I did try calling the phone numbers there but it tells me one is in California and one in Buffalo unloaded in June but truck was built in July??

The first couple of times I called, the response told me the railcar was in Kansas City, MO and had been there since March. I was getting ready to post something here asking about the same question you did but I called again on the day it was supposed to show up at Port Allen and I was told the railcar did arrive at 10:26 PM. I'm not really sure why you got the answer you did but wanted to give you some additional info and my 2 cents. The good news is your truck is on the way.

Maybe some of the Train Companies are using the same tracking and accountability software that Stellantis is using down in Mexico to decide which trucks get loaded for the states.
