2022 Ram HD Builds and orders - Post and discuss your TRUCK order here! ** NEW USERS READ POST #1 **

Whoa! You can't leave us with such little info on such a beautiful truck! What color is that and those tires, what brand and what size? Whatever your answers, man it works!
Thanks! I know. I should have posted more. Check 1 page back on 1141 - all the info is now there. The color is Patriot Blue (new to HDs this year).

Coming to the board for help deciding on truck!! 2022 ram 2500 4x4 ccsb limited diesel, offroad pkg night edition, hard loaded or 2022 ram 3500 HO ccsb 4x4 limited night edition, hard loaded. Most driving is city hwy and around the farm. How bad is the 3500 ride for daily? Currently have a 2019 ram 2500 4x4 cclb Laramie sport offroad diesel. Before that had a 17 ram 3500 cclb dually 4x4. The price difference is 3k from the 2500 to 3500 HO for the truck order. Thanks
this thread is for a lot of things, but not that. if you place an order, please contribute here.

I suppose a moderator will move your post to the proper place or ask you to make your own post.

GL with decision.

New 3500 with 18 inch wheels rides like my prev 2015 2500 with 18 inch wheels (better than my 2500 Limited with 20 inch wheels) except for really bad roads unloaded - then more bumpy.
If you are concerned about ride make sure you get 18 inch wheels (Limited Longhorn or Laramie - not Night Edition, not Limited)
And Just for ref, my 3500 with SO was within $200 of same equipment on 2500. You get the Limited Slip incl on 3500 and HO is most of your difference.
Best, Ed

@OfficerDirtySanchez

RamChat tells me I'm D1 today (parts gathered, sequenced for production). Ten weeks to D1 for my 10/25 order if they're correct--I'll take it. Sorry @owdiss78 I'll try not to celebrate too much.
Friday morning Ram chat told me I my truck was in line to be built. Friday afternoon I got the build sheet and this morning I got my window sticker and then I got this from my salesperson.

“Hello Tom
I’m not so much worried about the build as the shipping issues they have been having. All NJ dealers get their vehicle through the Twin Oaks PA holding facility which is currently behind on their shipping from holding to the stores. I’ll keep you as up to date as I can.”

I guess this seems to be the NEW NORMAL as nobody wants to fix what’s broke.
Well that sucks to here . My truck was ordered on 10/25 and is on the train in route to twin oaks Pa. ETA is 1/24-2/5. My build went fast now that would suck if it’s held hostage at twin oaks. Its a big horn cummins, bright white, night edition, cold weather package, snow chief, off road package, Level A, remote start, spray in bed liner, wheel house liner, Black interior, bucket seats, 8.4 Uconnect with Nav. Security system. Rear window defroster and cab length side steps.

We must be on the same train.

Called Ramchat today to check on my VIN number for the order I placed on 12/10/21. No info given. Said to call back in a week.

There are folks on here that have orders 6+ months old that don't have any info yet. The good news is many newer orders are moving along quickly. A week sounds reasonable.

@@OfficerDirtySanchez I just got an email from crytostickers saying my truck has a build sheet and a window sticker. The unfortunate thing for me is that it is for the truck I canceled. VIN 180729.

I called the dealership and it shows it shipped yesterday 1/9 and has an ETA of 1/24. My reorder was made 3 weeks after the first order and my ship date is still showing 1/23 with a 2 week train ride to one of 2 locations in the Kansas City area. The salesman said once it hits the yard, it is up to the transport people and that can be 2 days or 2 weeks for our area. Most have been on the shorter side however. So for those of us in Kansas City area, there is a train coming in soon. Hopefully some of them are on this forum.

My first truck (Laramie) that I ordered (9-11-21) and canceled is still in D status. Those heavily optioned Laramie's seem to be bad luck. The Limited that took its place is only about 400 miles from its new home at this point but still a week and a half to two weeks from being delivered to me.

How are you guys tracking your orders once they hit the rail lines?

is there any way to tell when build options are turned on/off from ram? i tried to put in an order for a new 2022 laramie 2500 and sandi at MD says they can't add the 'XAN' for blind spot and cross path monitoring to a laramie build at this time. she said that a while back night edition/towing tech B were unavailable but are there now. if there's a way i can check on that option myself instead of bothering her, i'd prefer to do it myself. the ram site doesn't seem to be accurate because i can configure a build on ram.com that includes the BSM/CP option (which apparently is not actually available for actual orders) while i can't add the tow tech B (which actually CAN be ordered).

so frustrating that i can't order the truck i want.

Nope, it changes often. You can have her email you when a certain package becomes available though.

I'm sure the dealer would love to have you cancel the order. They could sell your truck for much more than the negotiated price at order and set you up for another one at todays prices.
It wouldn't make any difference for me if that was the case. I have already canceled one truck and am still getting the same deal percentage wise as the first deal. I guess it depends on the relationship you have with the dealership.

Frustrating that they would not keep computer ordering current - are you using the RAM site or one of the independent sites?
I seem to recall BSM was included in one of the Laramie pkg (Safety group or one of the Laramie Level groups) - can you get it that way - or maybe have to go up to Longhorn?

Ordering a Longhorn or a Limited instead of a Laramie will solve your problem...

'solves' one problem, but causes others. i dont want the 12" screen and i DO want night edition. longhorn no night and limited no 8.4" screen. hate the climate controls on a touch screen on my19 2500 with the 12" uconnect.

ACEd- yes ram site. on my 2019 the laramie level b group (or whatever they call the $4k option package) included BSM/CPM. no longer the case.

The RAM website is ok for getting an idea of available packages and building your dream truck however, you can't build the truck and add or remove certain items. You have to add/remove total packages. The dealership can add or remove items as needed. The best way to get what is available at any given time is to let the dealer build the truck for you. If an item isn't available they can contact their factory rep for a time when they may have the item available or you can choose to order the truck without certain items.
