2022 Ram HD Builds and orders - Post and discuss your TRUCK order here! ** NEW USERS READ POST #1 **

For those that are waiting a long time for delivery; I just got this in email from RAM customer service. Remember you don't get what you don't ask for. That is a $3560 warranty. so at least they are trying to make it right. It does cover the depreciated value of trade at least. I got the agreed amount for trade, all incentives close to $3500, $250 in free diesel fuel, Free DEF, 2 free oil changes, free detail, and now a free 100k zero deductible extended bumper to bumper warranty. Ill take the delayed shipping option. and the truck showed up with only 20 miles on it. Plus they let me pay cash instead of financing without increasing the price. I feel like I got a good deal and have been compensated for the wait.

I ordered a 22 3500 Tradesman (with almost every option) on 11 Aug 2022, and it's been sitting in the "Order Confirmed" state ever since. Judging by the posts I'm seeing in this forum, I'm guessing I may not see my new truck for a while...

My truck is finally moving along. According to the dealer, it's scheduled for production on 4 Nov.

Delivered yesterday. Ordered in late april-- confirmed in may, built in july, shipped in Aug, delivered yesterday minus the tailgate emblems where someone dug them off and left large gouges and scratches in the paint-- oh well, I will wait a few more weeks while it gets fixed.

Dealer sent me the monthly update, same old story
ordered in May
built in July
still sitting in Mexico from Aug waiting for a ride, Nov will be 7 months.
Now I’m starting to get a little annoyed.
Yours must be sitting next to mine. Ordered my 3500 MC HO Laramie May 3, built in July 19, "Shipped" since July 27.....STILL in Mexico

There is something going on with that time period because I ordered the same truck at the same time and I am in the same position.

That time period does seem to be a black hole, hopefully with things changing next month they start moving.

I’ve seen lots of damage on new vehicles, but that’s a new one to me. Why on earth would someone pry the badges off?

Someone posted that stellantis is supposed to be sending extra carriers to move them to Louisiana then truck them out to destination
I believe they start producing 2023s.

is this somthing that you negociated into your deal, or somthing provided by ram on their own due to your long wait times?

Estimated delivery just changed from 11/4 to 11/7. Guessing it updated due to the transport company schedule.

So, took 2 1/2 weeks to go from Mexico to Albany, NY and now it's gonna take 2 weeks to travel 2 hours 40 minutes.

Delivered yesterday the 26th. Plan is to pick it up tomorrow.
I’m happy for you but it makes no sense. They really must be shipping randomly. Mine was built a couple weeks before yours and still hasn’t shipped. It’s also a DRW like yours.

The used market seems to be certainly re-adjusting itself as more new vehicles roll onto the lots. Up here a used truck with 100k on the clock and 2-3 years old was going for 5-6000$ more than brand new. Since june, from what i can acertain from the dealer my truck has lost about 4500$ in value. You might still get a good number from your dealer though, and theres always the big tax break to consider and the ease of trading in. Unfortunately though, higher mileage rigs certainly do take a kick for good trade numbers. As per advice from my friend who owns a large GM dealership, trade before 100,000km!
Agreed on the tax and ease of trading in. I have mostly always traded in my truck/cars due mostly to the small delta between trade-in and what I could sell it for. I just have a feeling that the delta will be much greater this time. I always look at the 100K stigma as applicable to gas engines but diesel has a much higher number.
