2022 Power Wagon Diesel - unconfirmed rumor

Like I posted earlier, that would be the Ford Tremor with the optional winch and the you can install a front E locker.
Or the jeep Gladiator truck and install a front bumper and winch. But it's a small truck with a even smaller bed.
I don't think the tremor can be configured with a long bed crew cab though.

The gladiator is a cool truck but my 4Runner has a better tow rating.....

Sure, but if they would put the winch and lockers minus the sway bar disconnect and articulink with the off road group suspension in a standard 2500 (or 3500) with either the gas or diesel engine and resurrected the Outdoorsman branding, the you’d have a nice RAM equivalent to the Tremor. I imagine they’d sell quite a few.

The PW is not a long bed either. More a regular bed at 6' 4". the 1500 CC only gets a 5'7" bed.

After owning a LB for almost a year, I'll never go back to SB.

I'd imagine if they were priced right and appealed to the more "work" truck design they'd sell alot.

McHenery, I'm the opposite, I'd rather have the short bed/normal bed. A long bed Crew Cab is just too big to maneuver around. Even harder to park since it seems all the parking spots are for "economy" cars. Yes I don't mind parking in the back 40 to be able to fit, but there is not always a back 40 to park in.

And a Crew Cab Long Bed with a front straight axle needs a mile to turn the damn thing around.

That's why mine's as close to battleship grey as I could get.

Interesting though, the ram 2500 turning radius is smaller than the Chevy 2500HD with the independent front axle.

I had shortbeds for my personal trucks and both LB and SB for work trucks. When I bought my 2500 I got a great deal on a leftover 2019 and made the upgrade to LB. While I haven't towed anything huge with it (yet), I do think it pulls trailers and maneuvers/backs my larger gooseneck or longer bumper pull better.

I REALLY wanted a powerwagon when I started shopping around last year but couldn't justify the cost for something I was worried would have a hard time pulling my larger GN cattle trailers and utility trailers. If FCA offered a hidden winch mount bumper and lockers for the diesel 2500, even as an "adder" to the off-road package I'd have been all over it.

I personally think there's a market for a well optioned 3/4 ton diesel with these options. I'll be interested to see in 2-3 years how much of the market share the tremor takes from the PW.

If they'd just bump the output from the 6.4 to 460 hp and torque, that would keep the masses happy for a few years. Ford releases the Bronco and Jeep immediately drops a 392 into a Wrangler to steal Ford's thunder. Ford releases the Tremor with a massive 7.3 and we get crickets from Ram.
