2022 Mega 3500, Loud droning noise on highway

Hi all - I am typically not a forum participant or poster but I do want to say "thank you" to all who have provided input on this issue. This noise has been a source of indescribable frustration for 10,000 miles!!! I'm happy to report that after a complete circus of a process (including multiple escalation calls with Ram Corporate)...the amplifier has been replaced and the noise gone. Thanks again for the detail and background on how to instruct the dealership on the fix...after 2 visits they were telling me that Ram had stopped authorizing warrantee replacements for the amplifiers. I would say that the KEY is to get your service dealer to push to have the amp replaced (don't let them sell the story that there is a software upgrade 'any day now' that will fix the issue)...in fairness the service techs are being told this by Ram Corporate and not to replace the module. I had to elevate to the dealership service director who authorized the warrantee repair...Good luck! (The amps are in stock and were delivered to the dealership next day).
My question (rhetorical that is) would be, "Why the hell, RAM, did you tell dealers you are not going to authorize warranty replacement on an obviously defective amp!!!"

What's going wrong within Dodge/Stellantis that emboldens such an arrogant haughty attitude towards their customers, who are going into debt multi-tens-of-thousands of hard-earned dollars, and who end up with defective crap? That sort of middle finger to the customer makes me want to start bad-mouthing Dodge! Just another example of the slow erosion of America's once rock-solid manufacturing excellence. As is typical, it's usually the stuff-shirts high up in the low-pressured closed-windowed stale armpit air of conference room bean counters.

UPDATE: New amp installed by my dealer today. Problem 100% fixed. Drone is gone. Radio sounds amazing too.

Did they replace the amp with the same part number of the original amp? I'm still waiting on an amp and the service manager said there is a new part number amp coming out and please be patient. Anyone else getting the same runaround from their service departments? Leaving in 4 weeks for a long roadtrip and still driving me freakin' nuts. Thanks

I was finally able to get my dealer to order and install a new amp. They put it in today and the noise is gone! They did admit they had to replace amps in two other trucks sold from that dealership with the same issue and so far so good. They also did tell me that a new amp is coming out, ETA to be determined, but I had them replace the original with what they have in stock and hopefully this issue is resolved. If the noise comes back, I'll request the new amp. This forum has been a great help and I repeatedly told the dealer what I had read on it to "assist" them in diagnosing the problem. Who would have thought all of these trucks would have passed quality control with such an obvious noise and a large batch of bad amps. Almighty dollar, sell the trucks and deal with the defects later. By the way, there were zero new 2500 or 3500 trucks on their lot today as I walked it while waiting for my repair. Regarding the runaround, I went in last Friday, they said they could have the replacement amp here yesterday Monday from their regional warehouse (Arizona maybe?), installed today, so it sounds like they now have them available but nor sure of the part number. If anyone else still has this issue, hopefully there is now a bulletin out there for the dealer to replace the amp. Thanks again to all for your insight!

This thread has been super helpful, thanks everyone. Can someone please post what part # this AMP is that solves this ANC problem? Definitly have the same issues. Thanks!

I am just repeating the above post. Does anyone have the part number for their new amp? Could someone look at theirs and share it please?

Here you go. This is the updated part number that fixes the ANC issue. 68547714AC. Under your drive side dash to the left.

Would an aftermarket Amp work in place of the factory one?
I doubt they make an aftermarket AMP that controls the ANC as well, but even if they do I wouldn't put one in my new truck to VOID warranty. Not worth it. I would just get the updated part number to fix the ANC issue.

Hey everyone, there is a TSB for this issue. 08-130-22. There are multiple amps so don't think the same part number fixes your issue. Please also don't think the dealership doesn't want to fix your issue. They do not get paid diagnoses from the factory, so the time the tech uses is free. If the tech cannot verify the issue they cannot just throw parts at the truck. Hope this info helps.

Looking for help..
I have a 2024 Ram 2500 it’s has 35 inch trail grapplers on it.. it’s also be deleted.
—At cruising speeds I hear an intermittent hum or drone noise inside the cab.
It sounds like it’s bass through the
speakers and it’s super annoying. After reading through some of these comments on this form. Would it be ANS? If I were to buy the bypass harness should that fix it?

I have a 2024 2500 Laramie that has the drone noise as well. I saw the TSB 08-130-22 but it is for 2022 models.
Does anyone have this noise in a newer model?

I took my 2024 Ram Laramie 2500HD with Alpine to the dealer and the tech rode with me and heard the noise. He then took an identical truck out and heard the same noise. His idea is that it is normal.
I removed the 71 fuse which cuts the power to the ANC amplifier and did a test drive. The boom/droning noise is still there.
I have the factory Firestone tires but I don't think they are the issue. Even if it was tire noise wouldn't the ANC remove it?
I saw somewhere that the 2024 had a different ANC system and the existing bypass harness that removes the microphones does not work.
Does anyone have any more ideas as to what to do.
