2022 HD Crowdsourced VIN/Order Tracking

Has anyone noticed that nearly all the HDs built off the list in March are Cummins? A few 6.4s but very few.. Wonder if there is a parts shortage related to the 6.4L?

I was hopeful I was going to get a quick build because I'm in Canada and we don't get our VINs until later in the process but I got my VIN just 3 days after the order. Dealer said that is very uncommon but since then I've bounced back to D status since early January. RamChat about 2 weeks ago agreed something didn't look right and to expect an email in the next 5 days but its been 9 and no e-mail.

I noticed a dealer near me has a PW in transit that isn't quite what I'm looking for but close enough I might cancel my order and go for it. :(
I am not sure I come to the same conclusion. 73 total orders from the sheet were built in March so far. 27 are HOs, 28 std 6.7L, and 18 6.4L. Things are moving better. But, your choice for sure. Good luck.

Went back to look at my calculation from last night and I was looking at it by week so I didn't pull in anything from the first week of March.
Last week 5x 6.4L and 22x 6.7L so ~ 18%

The first week of March it was actually 50% 6.4L! So that really makes up for it :)

I also made the classic mistake of not looking at the average orders of 6.4L to 6.7Ls. It's only ~25% so those numbers from last week aren't as alarming as I thought they might be. I feel into the typical issue of looking for numbers to prove a point rather than looking at what the numbers are actually saying. So totally agree I was wrong.

This other truck that is in transit has all the options I'm ordering other than it doesn't have the safety package. Which I was a little on the fence about in the first place. I had was planning to have the truck by May when I ordered in December but no way that is happening. I'm also kind of mad because I made my order before Christmas and gave them a deposit but they never put my order in until mid-January because they forgot.. Then they tried to charge me more because the MRSP had gone up.

Sux that they forgot to order it! There was a PW listed as In Transit to my dealer for about 6 weeks. Showed as On Dealer Lot Wednesday. By Friday, no longer visible. I drove over there this morning to see if it was actually there...nope! Good luck if you try to get one off the lot. Might be a bit tough and may have to pay above MSRP with Market Adjustments.

Looks like a bunch of Timberline Green trucks got window stickers on march 10,11,12 on the main sheet. AmI reading that right? Does somebody who knows more than me think they do trucks by paint color when dealing with low volume?

Ram chat says still in shipping stage, no eta, no update until it gets to the dealer. Does that mean im still kzld or did it get a ticket?

Per Vivian, my favorite ramchat expert so far, still D status on my 2/18 order. She asked me my VIN and gave me my info... no name/address/drop of blood... just the VIN and done. Though the news wasn't great, at least it wasn't frustrating to get, she even confirmed D status when I asked it back to her.

Spoke with the dealer and Ram today. It appears if your vehicle is “on hold” in Mexico, it is likely affected by the Z20 recall like mine. No ETA on a fix, and no explanation why the dealership can’t just do the software update. I’m assuming there is no software update at this time, considering they don’t plan to mail out notifications until April 29th, but that is just an assumption. Hopefully not many of you are in the same boat as me. We could be here a while.

I had a strong suspicion that this was the reason behind being held in KZLD status for a month now as soon as I saw the recall notices drop on the home page of the forum. I already did the NHTSA check and my VIN is effected by the recall. Seems stupid they wouldn't just ship it to the dealer anyway as that would drop a couple weeks of extra waiting since all the dealer would need to do is wait for the software update to be ready and then flash it to the truck and it would be ready for delivery.

Oh well, what's another couple weeks.

They have the software update at the dealership because I have check some vins for 2022 that on the lot around me and it shows they have been completed with the updated software fix on the Z20 recall.

Likely a no fault forward type of situation. It is probably also cheaper for them to send employees out to update them in Saltillo than to ship them and pay dealers warranty rates.

Go to this website and check if your truck is affected by the Z20 recall. If it is I believe you as well as anyone else in KZLD will be sitting until our trucks are updated.
