2022 HD Crowdsourced VIN/Order Tracking

Just in case anyone was wondering.... the only thing worse/more frustrating than waiting forever for a truck to be built and ship, is knowing your truck is sitting at the lot, having the money/check ready to go, and waiting on the dealership to get around to setting up a time for you to pick it up! Mine got to the dealership 6 days ago and not a peep from them, but they thanked me for my patience.

I am afraid they are thanking me for something I am running very thin on.
Seems like to get price protection you have to take delivery of the truck within a certain number of days. I wonder if they are waiting for that period of time to expire.

As of last night I wasn't seeing a build sheet yet so I messaged my dealer today and he said "it's almost built." I wasn't sure what that meant so I kept quizzing him. He then said "it's shipped to a body vendor right now." I bought a chassis cab truck so I was surprised to hear it went out to some other vendor. I thought it would all be done in house at the Ram plant. The dealer couldn't give me any more details except that it's in JBLD status. I found that JB means the truck is out to an upfitter. Not sure what to make of that. All I can think of is the step boards?

Question how long was the wait, from the time you were told by RamChat that all the parts needed were gathered to the time it was built. Tomorrow is 8 months from ordering this damn truck. Tomorrow is also suppose to be my ship date. Just talked to RamChat they still have all the parted needed (D1) but that’s been about 1 1/2 weeks plus or minus 1 day or 2. Still waiting for it to be build. At this rate I won’t see a truck till 9 months maybe even closer to 10 months because I know shipping has need an issue. I’ve waited this long so I’ll still wait but really damn frustrated right now I missed last summer and know I’m gonna miss spring break as well.

I feel bad for even venting about it now. I just finalized my deal and what a deal it is! MSRP on my window sticker was ~$2400 more than when I ordered 12/11/21 and my price only increased $196!! Not too bad if you ask me for a completely painless, 5% below invoice price with $0 down, clearly stated no price protection, order that is delivered in right at 12 weeks.

Picking it up Friday 10am. Highly recommend Chapman CDJR of Horsham Pa! (Thanks @franko)

Yes. JB means it has been sent off site to a vendor for steps, spray in liner (which you would not have being a chassis) and I would imagine the hitch receiver gets installed at the offsite vendor as well.

Awesome info! (December guy here)

My dealer said that they have been getting trucks in about 8-10 weeks from day of order. Seeing all this makes me think that's not realistic. I submitted my order on 3-3-22, and it looks like they're gathering parts now.

Wow, send it out to have the hitch bolted on? That would take what? 2 or 3 minutes? Actually I couldn't even say if I'm supposed to be receiving a hitch or not. I don't care, I'm putting a flatbed on it with it's own hitch. I can't imagine what they would be sending a chassis cab truck out for.

Dealer messaged me again a while ago and said the shipping process has begin, yet I'm not finding a window sticker yet? Tried Ram Chat and that doesn't even seem to work. As soon as I select a category it just blows up and goes nowhere. I'm really starting to believe all the comments about how much a Chinese fire drill this whole process seems to be. Nobody seems to know anything, or at least the correct information, and getting clarification is virtually nonexistent.

I guess it'll show up when it shows up. I had almost given up on having it for a late April camping trip but I can already see how this is stacking up and I'd lay money on it now. It'll show up a day or two before we leave and I'll be burning the midnight oil to get the bed on it and lights hooked up and get it tagged for the trip.

the lack of info from Ram regarding the build is frustrating. If they'd communicate better it would make it much less painful, Ram Chat is useless, when you chat online they cut n paste the same response, they won't tell you a code for your status and I'm at 3 months. On the phone they told me the other day my Promaster is in parts gathering still. Problem is I didn't order a Promaster, where did they get that from? When you see trucks ordered a month or so after yours showing up at the dealer and yours is still in D, it's frustrating.

The truck I ordered 6/26 just got a build sheet yesterday. Luckily for me I had my name removed from that order, ordered from another dealer in Dec, and mine is at the train yard waiting to be off loaded (since 3/1).

I use the one I have highlighted. I kept pinging my dealer for the status codes.
