2022 HD Crowdsourced VIN/Order Tracking

I guess I got lucky, mine was in KZLD for about 9 days. Dates below are the days the dealer told me the status, so it may have ben a day or two before, but probably close becasue in between pestering the dealer I was getting updates from RamChat.

2/11 - JB
2/16 - KZLD
2/21 - still KZLD
2/25 - KZM with 3/11 ETA

How often is this form updated? Most of my info isn't updated. However, I am more interested in trying to find the truck I originally ordered on 6/26 (signed off on the build sheet), maybe 6/27. By 7/6 it had a VIN. On 12/6 (22 weeks post-order) it was still in D status according to them. I can't find where they ever gave me the VIN, so I can't find it that way.

Just went from D to D1 today, estimated ship 2022-03-25. Order date was 2021-11-12. Made comments in the Google sheet. Will be watching the build sheet link intently.

I just pushed an update to the sheet for you.

I tend to only get around to it every couple weeks or so. It turns out Google Sheets doesn't handle such a large dataset all that well.

BTW, Here is the build sheet for the vehicle I was referring to.

That is a preliminary copy of what should become a POC (Priced Order Confirmation) sheet.
Normally when Order is Placed the POC is generated with a VON (Vehicle Order Number).
The order goes in and status changes from BA to BX (order passed edit and accepted for scheduling) and priority at bottom goes from 99 to 01
At or slightly after this point (at least on US Orders) a VIN is assigned and an updated POC can be generated.
With a VON and name and other matching details, you can usually get a VIN from RamChat if for some reason you dont have an updated POC sheet
With no VON at top and Status BA, I see no indication the order was placed and no way to find in any system.
Did it fall thru the crack and not get ordered maybe?

Usually the actual poc with the von comes out a little cheaper.. mine was 1500$ cheaper then the preliminary poc ..

The point was his Configuration Preview document that looks like a POC sheet shows Status BA Pending Order and does NOT even have a VON and hence there is no confirmation that it was ever ordered based solely on that sheet.

I was getting weekly and bi-weekly status checks from him where he kept saying ti was D. At one point he told me D1 and then the next week he said D again. He wasn't positive if it had changed and changed back or if he had accidentally looked at the order next to mine that was D1 and told me the wrong thing.

I can't really go back to him and ask for the VIN or VON because although I got the deposit back, it wasn't necessarily on good terms. They weren't happy that I was cancelling and worried about how it would affect their allocation as that dealer (under previous owner) had been reprimanded by Ram a few years ago for ordering stock trucks under fake names to get them faster.

I see you ordered in Sherman. I live between Paris and Mount Pleasant, did the dealer there offer a discount off Msrp? I would’ve ordered locally if they would’ve.

I've got one just like it, that was before the order , then when I actually ordered it I recieved another with a von.. that sheet is not an order yet.. alot of times the dealer likes to give u that one because of the higher price on it..

Not only did they not offer it, they specifically said they were not doing any discounts. I had asked about using the USAA rates and they said no.

That was the only form I had received, but was only posting it up in case it could help someone find the order based on the dealer and the truck specs, rather than just typing out all of the options

Where did you end up ordering from? I called Paris, Bonham, and MP. No go. Showed the guys at MP at Elliott my email with discount from MD when wife had her fuel filters replaced and they laughed and didn’t believe it.
