I just wanted to add something to this informational message about the timing of the VIN. It may need to be updated. If VIN numbers are typically available 2 days after your order has been placed, than I am WAY out of the norm. And talking with my dealer and Ramchat didn't help at all even though I had a VON number. I finally received my VIN number via e-mail from FCA after 6 weeks and I live in the US.With a lot of members here posting order dates, VINs, and order details, there seemed to be value in combining the information in one place. I started to do this on my own, but given the interest, am making it public.
If you are interested in adding to this crowdsourced database, it would be cool if you did the following:
Ideas/comments are more than welcome.
- Add your build to the list through the Google Form (link)
- Have a look at the combined list in the resulting Google Sheet (link)
FAQs
What is the point of the crowdsource tracking spreadsheet?
To bring visibility to members of this forum to what trucks have been built and are being prioritized. While we'll never fully understand the prioritization Stellantis uses to determine what trucks to build, I believe more transparency is better. The more information we share with each other the better we'll be informed of what's going on across the broader production landscape.
Does ODS have a special source for order status?
No. I'm just Joe Shmoe.
Where does info on the spreadsheet come from?
I check regularly for all equipment listings and window stickers. Aside from that, all info comes from members. The source of that info is covered in the next question.
Should I also sign up for Cryptostickers?
You might as well. They have a process to email you as soon as they see your equipment listing or window sticker become available.
Submit your info at https://cryptostickers.net/
How can I update my info?
There are many options. You can..
When will I get my VIN?

For US orders- VINs are typically available 2 days after your order has been placed by your dealer. Your dealer is the best source of your VIN. But you can also retrieve it from Ram Chat if you provide them with your VON.
Canadian orders seem to not have a VIN available until the truck is built.
What can Ram Chat tell me?
While Ram Chat won't provide status codes, you can sometimes tell the status of your order through the messages they respond with. For example, if they say you are in the "scheduling phase", you are in D status. If they say "all parts have been gathered and you are being sequenced for production" you are in D1 status and should reach out to your dealer for an estimated ship date.
What does D1 status mean?
Check the Build Status Codes thread for more info.

It seems very common. Mine was built about a week after the estimated ship date. Don't lose hope. It could be any day that your equipment listing pops up.Added order to the spreadsheet - dealer told me last week i was in D1 status with an estimated production date of 1/17 (this past monday). Will the production dates slide some? thought i might have seen a build sheet by now... VIN 3C63RRHLXNG215790
@andysrx This is a site someone found that has that type of information, but it seems out of date. Back in the summer, it was fairly accurate with start-up dates.I wonder at what point RAM will stop taking orders on ‘22 in order to start ordering and producing ‘23 year models.

It could be worse. My truck arrived at the dealer on a Monday. I paid for it on Tuesday and listed it on Central Dispatch for transport to me the same day. It wasn't until the following Thursday and the Monday after that when I got it. That 14 days between paying for it and having my hands on it was the longest feeling part of the process. The never-ending wait continues. Dealer informed me earlier this week that my truck has been offloaded at the North Texas Intermodal, which is just a few miles from my house, but they have no idea when it can get across town to them. So in the train yard it sits...so close and yet so far. Come Monday the 24th it will have been exactly 5 months since I placed my order. The last few miles are always the longest, I suppose...

My truck arrived at MD yesterday. I'll be flying down next week some time and drive it home 2,600 miles. I'll need to figure out where the winter storms are so I can hopefully evade them.It could be worse. My truck arrived at the dealer on a Monday. Hope yours arrives soon.
Is your order on the crowdsource sheet? I don't see your username.Hey, how do we follow at what stage our trucks are at while we wait? Ordered 1/10/22
Funny part the 1500 we ordered as well at the same time is said to hit the dealer by end of Feb.
My 2500 got a vin but D status
Thanks
I ordered 12/6, received the VIN 12/15, build date was 1/8, delivered to MD was yesterday 1/20. All-in-all a six-week process. I feel very fortunate compared to some others. From reading many other posts it seems that certain builds and paint schemes would be the major factors in length of time. You will see from my signature what I ordered and had delivered. I'll be flying to MD toward the end of next week and drive the new puppy home to the NW. Good luck with your endeavor!! (PS, I think the multiple cup holders is what secured my fairly quick build.)How long is the average time to build from receiving VIN? Any idea? I ordered 12/28, figured I’d get a build date end of feb. That’s just me ballparking.
